Ultimate Mortal Kombat?

It's not Mortal Kombat, or any fighting game.

It was originally an arcade game, and was ported to multiple systems with a slightly different name.

Smash TV? I know some home releases were called "Super Smash TV".

Yes! It was Super Smash T.V. specifically, although Smash T.V. does have a very similar looking screen. It's from the beginning of the game when some text scrolls up the screen describing the game show. It's burned in my brain from playing this game so much as a kid.
