That's totally the chick from Liberation Maiden (Nintendo 3DS): a fun lil' shmup that landed stateside on the Nintendo 3DS exclusively through the Nintendo eShop. While those servers are, sadly, living on borrowed time, it did see a physical release on its native soil. But, since the big N weirdly decided to region-lock this cartridge format, a Japanese import won't run on anything over here. angry

So, download it now while you still can. In case you need any additional coaxing, check out this brief-yet-solid YouTube video review by either clicking or tapping the image below:

P.S. I had no idea that chick ever crossed over into the Fire Emblem series. I can only assume it was done as a nod to someone who worked on both properties. Which title was it, @SupremeSarna? ?

Correct! She never crossed over—that was a red herring since the LM’s character portraits share the same artist as Fire Emblem Awakening and Fates. She’s practically just pink-haired Lucina, lol.

Also, be careful when Googling images of Liberation Maiden. Some people really like the opening cutscene where she sits down on her vehicle, apparently.

Bat-B-Gone! It's a fun little beat 'em up that saw both a North American release on the Game Boy Advance and, years later, a European release on the Nintendo Switch. I picked a slightly more obscure title 'cause a) it could definitely use a little more exposure and b) I was tired of @SupremeSarna guessing correctly in less than a minute. wink

Yes! I've finally picked a title unbeknownst to the mighty @SupremeSarna! I can now die a happy man. winking raspberry

But, seriously, I had a feeling this might be a hard one 'cause, outside of me buying it from GameStop back in the day for $2.99, I really haven't heard much about it. So, here's a few clues:
• As @WithinTemptation mentioned, it was released for the Game Boy Advance over a decade ago back in April 2002.
• It was developed by the relatively unknown British studio Graphic State.
• Unsurprisingly, the creative director, Richard Whittall, cited 1993's Star Fox for the Super Nintendo as one of its influences.
• Its title is one word followed by one letter and, oddly enough, both are also present in the title of its previously-mentioned influential predecessor.

Google helped a lot with the other ones--looking up strings of text to find a matching images (i.e. "8-bit video game shmup robot") is fair play, as long as you don't paste the exact image into Google.

This one is Star X. If you have the interest, I'd recommend using your knowledge of the game to improve the Gameplay section of Star X's Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_X

Noooo. Almost the right system tho, depending on your region! This is from the CD variant, the US didn't get that specific release but they did get a bit of a scaled down port.

These guys went on to work on the Tales series. This game was the first in a trilogy, the US never got the third release.

Ooo! Excellent Christmas theme, @Yoshi. I definitely recognized that pew-pew right away when I saw the little red biplane with that fun Go! Go! Tank-esque hook mechanic. Data East released this to the arcades back in the early nineties and it never saw a home port which, sadly, remains true to this day if I'm not mistaken. It's the one and only Boogie Wings (Arcade).

laughing out loud I actually know this one! Back in the day, Nintendo of Japan released a handful of mini audio CDs with music from their Famicom days. The cover art of one in particular intrigued me 'cause I'd never heard or seen it before. I did a little research and found out it was an in-house project for the Famicom Disk System.
