Got Fallout in the mail today. Looks good, but due to the long weekend, actually took 6 regular mail days, usually shows up in 5 lol.
Been doing it a while, and usually, people are pretty good, but it's summer, no risking it if I ain't a-working lol. Now I'll have some money, the extra $430. July and August, here we come. Might get into trying harder at the comp, but recently, been off of it. Got 2 need for speed underground 2's in jewels to list, transformers the war of cybertron, meh. Let life take me on a drift, so maybe I catch a better drift. Universally coding in...and out, I guess? Nah lol
was going to buy some more weed from the store the next day, and someone replied to my inquiry. I wasn't going to post every deal here, but the second part is why I'm posting. Got an age of empires in box pc game for $15, was close just had to go around differently, all one the lone 3.30 fare in a 2 hour window. Little bit etched/slightly crushed in on front where the top left corner is, and disc does have some scratches. But I figured I might get $50 - $60 out of it, minus the $15, now I realize the last number is a stretch with all the loose box and manual boxes of this game saying no cd. The game must not be worth that much, but apart from those 2 things, it's nice.
So what do you think I should do. Said June 29th, he'll be shipping it today, and reply with the info after 5pm. I was available at 7something pm. I think people that don't reply a lot, are a way to avoid. But there have been some that did just that that proved worthy. It just seems too long, not to get a reply back. It's July 7th. Should I put in a resolution centre thing, I think they might be waiting 21 days to release, but why say something, than just disappear. He disappeared before, than said, was out of town. But I mean, I said I'll wait til Monday/Tuesday, than I want my money back. The thing is, if he replies with, I was going to wait the 21 days, than send, but why not say something, at that point, I have to be like, I just want my money back. And how it's all been, I think it's not going to happen. That was the deal with strife and diablo I shown you. I dunno, but I used to have more faith in it all, now it seems to be testing me, or grounding me to my own water shores lol

Nice finds.
Magnetic posters are pretty cool. Also unique in the sense that you can pretty easily swap posters on your wall. No need to knock in nails or use tape/etc.
No video games at yard sales this weekend and I won't post a picture because it's a little NSFW but I did find something rather interesting: rare smut! There was a yard sale nearby with a decent-sized free piles so I grabbed a nacho dish, salsa pot, some chili pepper string light and, most importantly, a softcore movie called "Sumo Vixens" because that's a legit funny premise for a movie to me. Turns out it's out of print and pretty pricey because of that, so I'm passing it along to a friend who collects weird cinema. I watched it the other night and it's basically a live-action 90's anime but with topless scenes and it is VERY campy. One of the funniest things about it is the voice cast - it has a lot of mid 90's/00's anime voiceover artists doing the English dub, with the main villain and secondary female lead being voiced by the folks who voiced Jet and Faye from Cowboy Bebop, respectively.
I made a $10 offer on this PEZ Hander, and the seller bit. $20.somechange altogether, the cheapest on eBay. Jar Jar’s tongue hands you PEZ candies when you press the button! [imgt w=903 h=1200]https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/MlQAAOSwJJ5kbXW2/s-...[/imgt] (Photo from Google Images, not the exact one I bought.)
I’m a Prequel fan, and this obscure scene is so strange to see turned into a full product. It’s bounced around the back of my mind for years and years, and I was feeling frisky last night. Besides, I have nieces who love candy and will find this fun when they come over!
Didn't know about the roaches until I smelled them as I drove a couple of miles, bought this to practice soldering, Had to buy a bug bomb from the closest hardware store, luckily I already had box to tape everything up in when I set the bomb off.
So yesterday I went to the flea market that sets up near my home. About a third of the regular booths didn't set up, probably because it was hot as hell at 9 AM - most people were already leaving by 10:30. So I figured, "I'm not gonna find anything today."
And then I got to the lady that brings stuff from Northern California - source of most of my movie purchases - and found she brought down EIGHT bins full of movies. It turned out that four of them were stuff that I'd already seen over the past month, but four were new. And boy did I hate her.
One of the bins was full of library copies of various Blurays, but it was nothing I was interested in. A lot of other things were water damaged, missing art, or the discs. So I just dug around and found the above. Paid about $12 for them (and something I put aside for selling.) Mr. Bill and that Michael Jordan set supposedly have games in them so I'm keeping them for my project.
And Nine Lives... I've been trying to get a copy of that movie for a year. It's in good shape but I don't know if it has the digital code (not like it matters, I don't use them.) The HD DVDs are as always, a gamble, the 300 disc didn't look weird so I dunno. Maybe it'll work?
Sent you a pm but in general most of this stuff is available as I already have most of it. I had a buyer for Fragile Dreams in advance so that is sold. I'm keeping PN03, Luigi's Mansion and this copy of Double Dash specifically. I will be selling my old copy of Double Dash which is the version without the bonus disc.
I went berry picking with my family on vacation, and there was a garage sale happening immediately to the right of the patch. It was all old clothes and furniture (a knit hat of Grumpy Cat was the highlight), so I didn’t buy anything, but it’s still cool I found a garage sale in a convenient spot while on vacation. That’s probably the first time that’s happened for me.
Went to a community yard sale in upstate New York last weekend. Haven't been to it in six or so years, and wasn't really expecting to find anything. Actually had some great finds:
image Very first sale of the day had video games for $1 each. A guy ahead of me grabbed Final Fight and another SNES game, but I guess he didn't feel like flipping through the disc only games. These were $1 each, Resident Evil was from a different seller for $2.
image Seasons 1-5 of Bones for $5. Seasons 2-5 are sealed.
image Mario Kart was $10. Star Wars and Project Runway were $.50 each, the others $2.
image Always see Youtubers picking up vintage snapback hats so I figured I would give it a shot. Hats were $1 each. Other items I got at the very last sale of the day for $20. I guess they were still there at 2pm because people thought they were just crappy licensed games for $10?

> We need more details on the berry picking :)

> What kind(s) of berries?
>
> Are you allowed to eat them as you pick them?
Yes, we could eat them as we went—the owners didn’t care. They were all blueberry bushes, though I’d have preferred raspberries or blackberries. The bushes were pretty barren, but we had some fun with it and got a pound or so. My nieces had a lot of fun, and it was nice talking with the other pickers.
I had more thrift finds than yard sale finds this past weekend, but still grabbed some decent stuff for a decent price! I came home with everything in the pic below for $40.
The last time I missed a deal to another guy, he posted them for sale (for full market value) the next day. It was those 3 switch games (marvel ultimate alliance 3, tmnt shredders revenge, and hyrule warriors calamity) for dirt cheap. So I I’ll be looking out for an odd GameCube and Xbox listing
Y'all ever get what feels like a bait & switch on fb marketplace? This guy makes an ad for a $50 Apple Watch 6 with no charger. I tell him I'll take it barring any issues (like iCloud locked), and they say they can't accept the listed price since they woke up to several offers, they can meet me right away but i'd have to pay over $100 now
Feels like that darth vader meme about altering the deal
I was all scheduled to meet someone the next day to pay his asking price for two cameras. Location agreed, time set, phone numbers and car descriptions exchanged.
Morning of he messages me to say "Sold it to someone offering more"
I spent Saturday morning hitting up a large community yard sale near me. I found a lot of kitschy stuff but no games, though I'm hoping to get a call back about some later. I won't bore you with pics of that stuff, but here's what I found right around the corner from my house when I was just out and about in my neighborhood - Pokemon Ruby, Golden Sun, and Super Mario Strikers. Total spent on the games was $41.
My PEZ hander arrived! I cleaned it out and bought a boatload of PEZ, then gave it a test run. Someone pick a flavor: cherry, strawberry, lemon, grape, orange, or raspberry.

For the sake of reducing the number of PEZ packs I have to open (I've already used up two and will use another tomorrow), I'll just pick strawberry. But props for thinking outside the restriction.
@Frank that is super cool. I used one once to play motorstorm against some random on a kiosk in GameStop back when this came out. We were both blown away, it felt like black magic at work
The 127 Yard Sale is next week, so I figured it would be best to come visit my parents a week early - work from home and do some shopping before all the dealers show up. Found the following:
image NES games were $5 for both. Found them in the back corner of a dirty flea market booth. DVD and Dark Souls were Goodwill finds. I'll be damned if I am going to pay those sticker prices (and 10% sales tax to boot!) so I waited until yesterday and took my mom so I can get the 20% senior discount.
> Nice. I know very little about the PlayStation 3D TV. Makes me think of a giant PSP.
> What can it do/play?
I love that it looks like a giant PSP Go screen. So it's a 3D display, so by nature, it can be used for 3D movies, as well as some 3D-supported PS3 games. Theoretically, I could also play the few PS4/360/XB1 games that support 3D on it as well.
The coolest feature for me, which was encountered similarly to @bumsplikity, was eliminating split screen. The TV has the ability to have Player 1 and Player 2 see different images on the screen. I got to demo Call of Duty Zombies, with this feature, at GameStop back when this thing was new. My mind was blown.
I've also been wanting a 3D TV, but couldn't justify taking up space to have a full size. This was the perfect score, and it fits in well in the Game Room. I'll probably eventually move it next to the PlayStation Stuff. But for now it's okay where it's at.
Did some antiquing/thrifting with my mom in Knoxville yesterday, had a pretty good day:
image These were all from an antique mall. Booth was a video game vendor, not sure if I caught him sleeping or what. Everything was priced as marked. The PS game is Spider, and Earthworm Jim has no manual. Lollipop Chainsaw was $4. Movie was $3 and from a different booth. Will go back and do a deeper dive in this booth tomorrow as I will be going solo.
image Grabbed these from the various thrift stores we hit up. DVD was $4 and sealed, Action Replay is also sealed and was $2. Rampage was $3 after military discount.
One more find from the antique store Saturday! A mystery box!
image I wonder what could be inside! The booth was half off, so $100 worth of games for $25? I'll give it a shot:
image Wow, what a score! If anyone wants all of this for $75 let me know! Oh, Halo 4 is missing disc two, Halo 2 is apparently a 360 game, and Bioshock 2 case contains just Bioshock.
At least GTA will get me $5 at Gamestop.
Fast forward to Sunday: Even though the 127 doesn't start until Thursday, people set up early. My mom and I set out and I found a few things:
image Got all of the disc games for $1. Golf was also $1. Genesis games were $5 each, Wii Sports and NFS were $5 for the pair. Batman was $3.
Well, getting my money back was easy. They immediately put the money in my account. I took some pictures mentioning his emails where he told me to send and the fact he never gave me a tracking number. Stubhub usually pays that way, so I don't know if it's due to that, they did it. I thought there'd be an investigation. Maybe the account was already flagged...who knows.
The other deal, the person getting married. Either a real wedding crasher, or I shared a good deal lol. Whenever I let a good deal slide, the equation in my head seems like a multiplier of energies, not quite synnergies, but a code to get through life. Sometimes no matter how good something is, you just sometimes go fudge it, based on something inherent. I don't think much of it, but sometimes, it's not all about lining your pockets with dollars. Maybe I'm just strange. That $400 went by so fast haha. Time to do some chores while enjoying summer. Anything for money is a chore in my opinion. Everyone had some sort of slave labour. LOL.
All good, not finding any deals, but haven't really been searching. Taking to the outdoors better, but inside, it's like, this again. Ah well, no choice. The dolphins with the green light in miami need to download their brain, and do something to sustain the time or 5th element the google wizbot. No idea. Some kinda babbling crazies left in my brain from all the tripping with no meds haha
So I took a rather long hiatus, but somehow that's how this year started...lol...trying to feel like a kid having a summer. But no more slacking. Ha ha, did a contest run, no luck to reward me yet. and than started browsing for deals 3 days ago
got my first hit. This is an old friend, or at least we did this before, he did say best offer, than had it for free, so I said how much would you like? he said free. I texted him, thought I was too late, than got on and went there. Found a place that either sells cheap single bic lighters or has a deal on crush grape bottles but who knows when I'll be back lol
here's what I got, the two worlds demo is still sealed, as is lego masterpiece rock raiders. Also have a manual to gruntz not pictured, and one for worms armaggedon. Also not pictured is exotic japan a guide to japanese culture and language by Nikki Yokokura
free is good, I'm pretty broke lol - time to start doing more tomorrow
PS/EDIT: Keeping revolt and gta 2 for my collection. Was about to pay $20 for both, but it didn't pan out. I hate having to pay out of pocket for collection, when I'm not really a collector. Just a photo or word nostalgicator that seems to keep me keeping some things around. I guess it somehow makes a little sense lol. Also had the sims in jewel and an add-on to it. Realized it when I stepped on it on the floor, prob one case is gonzo lol.
Hit up a couple local pawn shops/thrift stores yesterday:
image Four on the left were $5, 24 was $6 and is sealed.
Sale officially starts tomorrow (Thursday) but I popped in yesterday (Tuesday) to the main strip to check out the vendors that set up early. First tent got me this:
image image All for $75 (plus $1 for the VHS). Cords included. Lady said it was tested and working. When I asked if there was a controller she went into her RV to look. Came out with no controller but a handful more games.
image Same lady showed this to me and asked if I knew what it was. Looked it up and saw it is a train controller for PC games. She asked me to make her an offer. Told her I would do $40 but she could probably get more. Offer was accepted as it is pretty heavy and she didn't want to deal with it.
image Wipeout 3 was from a different vendor and was $3. It is sealed. Paid about $16 or so after tax for the other items at various thrift stores.
While the 127 officially starts Thursday, the unofficial first day is Wednesday. I found some cool stuff:
image Everything on the top row was $1 each. MX was also $1 and is sealed, but is R3. NCAA and Beyond were $10 each, and GoW was $5. Beyond is the steelbook.
image Everything in this photo was $30. I have found a lot of PSP games during this trip. Didn't buy them all, but have seen a lot for sale.
image This is probably my favorite find. Paid $25 for it and it works. Unfortunately the artwork is the only thing Mario related about it. Typical pinball noises when you play it.
Nice haul! I've always wanted Fantasy Zone II: The Tears of Opa-Opa on the go, but I could never find a copy for a desirable price. As for that Mario 64 game, wowzer! It's so cool! They made one for Kirby's Pinball Land that I'd kill for, but I've never seen one sold.
Yesterday was the official first day of the sale, but all it did was rain. Did find a few items in between showers:
image Indiana Jones was $5 but is missing a few items (including a disc). I have always wanted to see Zombieland 2, and the code is still good! The black thing is a radar detector.
Hi, I have a question here to someone with more knowledge on the subject. I got in my pc game lot a game called Yu-Gi-Oh : Power of Chaos Yugi the Destiny. I see various prices, but most don't include the cards. Mine has the sealed cards, I believe it's a 3 (Nope, 5-) pack. Anyone know if they're rare on the top of your head. I see 2 selling for more with the cards, but maybe they just priced it as such. Thought it someone knows they can easily let me know something.
well, did some searching, and see it's prob $50-60 for the cards alone at a reasonable sale time. Not interested in keeping them. Anyone know a little more about them, and can say for sure, what a fair price for them is. Thx in advance if you know more than I do, most people do...haha, nah
nevermind, just typed the exact title and searched finished auctions, and saw it sell on ebay for $100, than $169 crossed out...guess I'm usually too tired to really do too much at once, but realize giving questions or expecting others to figure it out, is like leaving the board blank and expecting something to happen. Someone break the internet across the world, we need some time off haha
Yesterday was the last day of the sale for me. Weather was great. Fields were a bit muddy from the previous day's rain, but no big deal. Did see a few cars get stuck.
image Admiral was $3 and Lost was $5, each are sealed. The two 4k were $1 each. Zapper was $3 and Street Fighter was $15. Other four were $10, but Fortune Street is case and manual only.
image Found a video game vendor, not sure why people like him set up. I don't go out at 9am in 90 degree weather on muddy fields to pay $100 for boxed NES games, but I suppose if he wasn't making money he wouldn't set up. He had a $5 or 3/$10 table so I picked up a few things. L4D2 gets $9 cash money at Gamestop, he must be new to the selling game.
image Genesis controller was $5 from the video game vendor, completes my bundle from a few days ago. Skylanders were from a different sale and were $2 each. Didn't know Crash had figures, that is pretty cool.
I was so close guys. I was the first one to contact him. I also just happened to live right around the corner from him, so I was there immediately when he asked for me to “come through”, and came through cash in hand. He still sold to someone else and gave me the runaround as I waited for him in my car (he said “ I have a lot of people asking e right now first come first serve”)

You don't understand, I was on his doorstep with over $200, texting him "Hello, I'm here at the address you gave me cash in hand" and all he could say after 15-30 minutes of waiting is oh I have a daughter and I can't get away at the moment. I was nervous I was gonna be robbed or something but I should have shown a picture of the money along with having already said I have cash in hand.

Oh wow, that's a really shady situation. He obviously held you up for something else. I wonder if he actually found another buyer, or just realized he had more than he initially thought.
Either way that really sucks. It's situations like that, that make me leery of using either Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist anymore.

Yeah, after about 5 minutes of waiting, I sat in my car, letting it run with the doors locked, I live in an area that's near constantly patrolled by cops so that was some relief, This early afternoon he apologized, and tried to offer a messy black wii with cables with pictures taken from the backseat of his messy car. This kinda has me hoping the consoles in those boxes were in bad shape, so I wouldn't have wanted them anyway, and...I know even the Nintendo boxes have value, just let me have this lol
there's actually a few more. This is the first one, and I guess the real bonus is the sealed 3 pack of cards I can sell for way more. Not really a card collector, and don't collect what I haven't played and/or didn't want to play back in the day. Redguard was a beautiful looking game I had, but sold that. One of the games, that I go, is prob going to be a surprise later on and prob worth more. I don't think of it with money really, I just price fairly and try to get good deals. It all seems easy when the money is rolling right, but usually you don't have money when you're at your best or worst, maybe a little of both haha. Now I'm drifting. In thought.

Hey, no. Been a while since I really gamed. Kinda took my gamer attitude, and sit there with a joint. Sometimes real boring, sometimes tripping. Like today, said to the kids, you all plan on going to university? You really want a degree? Take the word apart, de-gree, now switch them, gree-de. LOL. Don't want to be a miser, give it away give it away now. Sometimes I'm on, but too much off times haha. Gotta get higher or catch a better attitude and vibe. I also have a mac now, before that, had that windows on mac thing to play some games. I'm just happy with the memories already in mind from the media of games. The tv has some in there. It's like catch and release, but somehow is the progression of this chronological life we live, going and doing a'round. maybe one day we'll need everything and get everything, for now, just have some fun and try to live, but not try too hard, maybe all trying is...just that, too hard, nah, lol. I've become too much of a slacker
I have a thrift shop on base and it has good deals on things but you have to be there when they open or all the good stuff is gone..... Thats exactly what I did! The had put up on FB that they had redone their book and I saw the guides immediately. So i was 1 of 2 people in line when they opened. I b-lined to the guides and bought them all without looking at any titles. Supper happy with my purchase.
Ha ha. I'm trying to find good weeds at decent prices. Bought some hiway slow lane : strain: platinum og crossed with og kush breathe. The prerolls are low thc, but this one is 27.5%. Bought the ounce, all in, $105. But it don't last too long, and some peeps be trading me things I eat and drink for some weed, haha, not good, I like weed more than snacks haha.
Trying to do more, but I guess I'll start tomorrow. Simcoe day. I can't wait for weed to be legislated fully, and there's no more, you can't fly with weed on you over here because under here, lands have not let you smoke some piff ganja and get a little more mysticized, but to be honest, to be too hippie, drifts the excess into the weed. Sometimes it seems the good things can only come with luck, and if next week, I'm not lucky, I'm betting on tomorrow to put in some grind. Sometimes it feels I'm putting up so many new thoughts like I'm paraphrasing for a screenplay. I don't really write essays to enter a contest even. And I think sometimes, maybe something of a movie, there was a stargate world binding the qualities of humanity before the inception of earth, and it was a new day, 24 hour countdown, whatever the composition, 3 winners, hailed at the venue. Than scolded and unmidased from the premise. My understanding: maybe in life, we can't become who we are or need to be in totallity, our uniqueness is in no way programmed in to this life but rather to conform and adapt. Once we get too old, we can only and have to get younger. To neverminding the small things, until the big things let go of this curtain and veil the universe without a contaminant, a futile battle of in sickness and in health, and healthy is getting through the biased messaging and doing what you need to. Wait, why am I writing again. I'm stoned, and la la la is in my head...this isn't sound. I wish they had a game for a barbarian wizard in 3d with a stunning world lol
I just got an acceptable copy of Super Returns of the Jedi for $7.42. I’ve beaten the SNES version a few times, so I’m curious to see how the GB version will differ.
When was the last time you made a lower-than-starting-bid offer on an eBay auction and actually had it accepted? I’m surprised to say the least.
I bought a boxed copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for a little under $18. The box is a little crushed, but not too much. I don’t think it includes the manual or cardboard inlay, but I can live with those. The cart alone usually goes for $15-20 on its own, and the starting bid here was 15 (w/ $5 shipping). I offered 12, assuming it would get rejected.
On eBay, never assume that.
HP3 for GBA is lauded as the best Potter RPG, as it improves on the previous games’ groundwork and draws inspiration from Golden Sun for good measure. I will play it in December, as I always play a Harry Potter game that month.

I've not tried that as offers on auctions is a relatively newer feature I think and I don't buy on eBay too much anymore. I have won multiple auctions for under $5 over the years and of course I'm talking items that usually go for a lot more. Sometimes auctions will go relatively unnoticed, especially for stuff that isn't exactly super popular. Most of my examples are AV gear (some of these things I've won are still in use like a vga to component transcoder I use with a Dreamcast) and big box PC games. In general I'm never afraid to use the offer system though. I recently got a blu-ray I was wanting for $9 + shipping via offer. Usually sells for around $20 (many people try to get a fair bit more but it never sells for those prices) but not a common seller so I figured I had some negotiating leverage.
@nonamesleft To answer your question… I dunno. Might be that HP is often associated with Christmas, since they always air movie marathons around then. I bought the two GBC games in 2020, and around Dec 2021, I decided to actually play one of them. I use Christmas as a hard deadline to finish most video games, since I’ll likely receive at least one game that I’ll want to start immediately. So I only hard time to play the first HP game then. I played Chamber of Secrets (GBC) last Dec, and now I’m gonna finish the trilogy.
Griptonite Games made HP 1 (GBC), HP 2 (GBC), and HP 3 (GBA). Every other Potter game was made by other studios and are generally less preferred.
Saw this “what will be for sale at my flea market” ad on Facebook, came there and it was a kiddo, told him i’d be buying everything today and he got nervous and needed an adult.
Customer next to me overheard me say “i’d be buying everything” and quickly scooped Zelda twilight princess on wii which was fine, but if it had been the GameCube version (rare) we’d have had a problem. I was there first.
Anyway, I paid the kid’s asking price of $360 after he took some time calculating it in his head, his dad said he would not help him, he needed to do this on his own, but he’d help with counting the cash lol. I’m listing nearly everything online to grow positive feedback on various reselling sites, giving zelda totk and maybe one PS5 controller to a friend if sony won’t fix their controller free.
Toys will be donated. Fun part was they had to close their booth after I left, never sold someone out before.

You ended their day? I wonder if they were happy about that or disappointed.
Reminds me of a neighborhood bake sale a few years ago. Kids were selling cookies and brownies. They called out, if I wanted to buy anything. I walked over and considered buying everything, so that they'd be all happy, but then I realized that if I do that then their day is over. So instead I think I bought all the brownies. I pointed at an area and said "I'll take all of these." I think one of the kids asked me if I was sure 😄
(Then I had to figure out what to do with all the brownies. I brought home the goods and shared it.)
Had a solid find today and might have a solid contact for some deals going forward. I reached out about a posting with 2 NES systems, 5 controllers and 10 games for sale. No power cable so untested. $100 asking price. Got to messaging and he said he had some more stuff not yet listed as he does rental stuff and property flipping and people leave stuff there all the time. When he shows up he also has a blue dualshock 2, GBA SP 101 with a couple of gameboy games and gex 3 N64. He throws all that in for another $20.
NES systems of course need new pins. Basically expected of any NES at this point. I did get the more valuable games (nothing special stuff like Metroid, SMB3, Zelda 2) working on my personal NES system. GBA SP screen is in great shape. Shell has seen far better days. All buttons working as they should.
He mentioned he will contact me when he has enough stuff to sell again, but we will see.
OLED Switch from a shack in the middle of nowhere - $100. Just needed a dock and to be charged overnight, the battery was completely drained I'd been trying to find a cheap OLED switch for a friend and I'm glad it's finally over
Anxiety level was at a high at this shack, not cause it was in the middle of nowhere but because of all the Yellowjackets buzzing around. I’ve been stung in the past and have a horrible reaction to them
The seller said there were over 100 people asking about it. I only got through cause I checked what other listings they had and asked about some hoodies
Lady from the thrift store let me know about an estate sale company that has a website. Been taking a look the past month or so and finally found something:
This lot was $165 after taxes and premium. The photos showed the stack of discs from the top, and first disc was some random crap CD. I saw some green and the word "Sony" on the rings of a couple discs peeking out, so I decided to take a chance most were video games. Other than the CD the only non game was Reno 911 which I have wanted to watch for a while. Up Your Arsenal had Going Commando inside.
All the games from both lots are in various condition and completeness, will have to get a few resurfaced.
Watch out for an old scam someone tried to put on me through facebook marketplace. He said he wanted a small deposit of $20 to hold some games I was inquiring about. He said he was getting bombarded with offers and people wasting his time trying to meet with them that he had to impose this deposit rule to make sure his buyer was serious.
I took screenshots and made a buyer beware listing about it, he blocked me.
Cash app, he provided his cash app. Then said he’s take it off the agreed upon price. Sorry that wasn’t clear, I sometimes miss a key detail to my stories
Chronicles Riddick Assault on Dark Athena PC game, never opened
saw this on ebay for about $85 cad and bigger shipping and saw last one and a bunch of watchers
saw it on kijiji for $20. Asked if it could get shipped. He ok'd it. $26 CAD all in. Checked shipping price - shoulda have said I'm sure it's right, if not, I can add more/you can refund, but let me send now so you don't have to go twice to the post office...lol. But I guess I wasn't thinking. All good, not a great deal, it's new and sealed in dvd case.
I know a place that sold a 3DO today. I passed it up since it's not worth $200 to me. So now I can add another system to list of rare things I've found instead of a Game & Watch. Or a Game Boy Micro for that matter.
> Yeah you can definitely find a 3DO for less than that without trying too hard anyway.
> What Game and Watch are you looking for?
Gotta get that Gex money, I suppose, lol. I'd settle for whatever I can find, but if I could choose, it'd likely be Fire Attack. The black, orange, and silver color scheme are striking; it's a hinged model; I've never played the game before; the screen looks interesting even when the system is off.
Love a good freebie find. The laser printer I use was thrown out. Still haven't had to replace the toner in several years of using it for shipping labels lol.

I've been trying to collect G&W units myself. Not counting those mini keychain variants, I have Mario Bros, and Donkey Kong II and two Russian Bootlegs of Egg and Chef. It's a small part of my collection I hope to build up one day, but I've never found any locally. All 4 came from the internet.

It's black and white only so it might not be suitable for your needs but the model is Laserjet Pro 400. With this one I can tell why it was thrown out but since I'm only printing shipping labels it's perfect for me.
Someone broke something off in one of the wired connector ports so it can only connect via wireless network mode which doesn't always like to play nice.

I found one randomly on a table at a flea market in 2008ish (it was Mario Bros ... my first one ... )
I haven't seen one for sale in person (not counting at a convention) since ... all of mine (now 16) have all come from eBay .. and maybe 2 from here...
Not sure if there any board game collectors in the group, but I picked up a copy of The Dark Tower, The Omega Factor and a D&D 1980's cartoon spinoff board game called Quest for the DungeonMaster (open but unused). The Dark Tower is missing a few piece and the electronic tower doesn't work. I also, picked up a couple of Genesis console boxes for $65 total.
Jealous of a lot of these hauls. If I’m lucky, I’m able to get a rare PS3 lot before some other guy does from FB marketplace…as long as I’m willing to travel to New Jersey
I haven't had many finds lately, between the terrible storms destroying everything at the flea markets for two weeks in a row, and a general lack of money (plus me spending time cleaning the house for family reasons), I did manage to snag something at SwapADVD.
So there's a thread there where people offer movies at a reduced credit cost, or bundled with other free things if you ask for a disc set. A trader there put up Die Hard 1 to 3, with a free Die Hard 4.
And I've been trying to get a cheap copy of Die Hard 4 for months.
So I ordered the set and got them delivered during the week. The trader had a laugh at me saying that I only got this for Die Hard 4, not the others.
But why? Well, it turns out DH4 has an exclusive Bluray game. I haven't dug into it much but there's an intro by Kevin Smith and it kinda feels like he was forced to do this. The first level is a Metal Gear Solid-esque flash-style game. Try playing that with a remote, it's impossible. I need to get a PS3...
got my riddick game in the mail today. Just browsing some other deals, but have no real drive right now, so sharing another one. This one seems way too good to be true, box games, and all of em. Though people move and treat games as junk. Maybe i should have tried. When I got some energies to burn into effort, I'll get on to multiplying the effects to get me a-rolling and feeling jolly.

Have these gone up that much? I was thinking about unloaded my MGS4 PS3 which is CiB (the game might be gone) since RDR is on Switch. RDR Is the only reason I've held onto it.
Oh yeah, people from down South used to come here during the winter and sell off similar statues. Some even do it during our yearly Fiestas del Sol fair, which starts up next week. (I haven't gone to it since before Covid, though.)
Here's one that's been painted in full color. It seems to be mostly the same cast, except for the base, which is now an Aztec Calendar for some reason.
@Foxhack I dunno man, even at $80, feels insanely worth it, especially in comparison to modern statues. I'd easily pay $200+ for this if I saw it for the first time in person. For $20 though? I'm stoked.
I messaged the guy and told him drinks on me. Come over with his kids as I owe him some high end bourbon or wine.
Work has been dead, so I traveled a bit further than I normally do when thrifting to give myself something to do this week. Glad I did:
image Everything here for about $20, the Fraggle Rock sets are sealed.
image Everything here for about $25. Star Wars sets are sealed. Bought Unsane because it was a movie I remember seeing trailers for and it looked interesting. I tend to buy most 4k movies I come across in thrift stores. Cashier rang it up for $5 and I contemplated not buying it. Glad I stuck with it as it seems to be OOP and worth a bit.
Been a minute since I posted so here's some catch up:
This is from Saturday a few weeks ago. Uncharted was $5 and the NES Classic was actually free! I offered money but the seller was just trying to declutter, so I promised to pay it forward.
A buddy clued me in about a friend of his who's a major collector but trying to downsize. I figured the sale would be a zoo, but since it was only posted to friends on Facebook it was nowhere near as busy as I feared. There was a lot of pricey stuff there, but I walked away with some good stuff plus I exchanged numbers with the guy for his next sale. On the way back home I stopped by a local community sale and picked up a few more gaming gewgaws. Got everything in the pic for $115, which I'm pretty happy about.
And lastly, I finally had someone from a yard sale who said they'd get back to me about video games follow through! This lot came from another local collector who was trying to downsize. He did flat pricing for everything so I was able to grab a whole bunch of good stuff for $250. It's not in the best condition, but the price was definitely right and I spent last weekend cleaning and testing.
> Never heard of that starshot n64 game before, interesting.
Yeah, same here, and my general rule is if it's cheap and I've never heard of it I grabs it. Turns out it's a rarer game so that's cool, but I fired it up the other day and it is...not great. It's a really clunky 3-D platformer with pretty dull graphics and sound.
Well, I shared a deal that no one picked up, and I had time, thought why not, but 1.5 hours from here to there by bus than subway with another subway in another direction than another bus. Stopped on the way back and got some food. The biggest game there was Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition for pc. I thought I could put it up for at least $120 CAD, but now I see the gh version for ps3 at around $30, and the EU edition of it for around $30 too. But now there's only one with doubled of another game, for $65 or so. Than got 2 batman games, they're ALL NEW AND SEALED. But I dunno if I'm overvaluing the game, prob you'd agree, espec since it's not US, but Canada edition, where there's english/french writing. Got out of the house, smoked less, ate what I prob smoked less lol. Now gotta catch up. All 3 games for $20. Not bad, but also spent 6.60 in fare, but did get some weed, and would have to prob spend at least one just for that. Still borrowing money, life's pretty clunky and crunky, so time to get crunked. Later.
Probably my last yard sale of the year, did pretty well. Got everything for about $15:
image Unfortunately I did not look at L4D2 before buying it, disc is covered in copper/red splotches. Never seen it before, but I should be able to move the case and manual.
I helped my grandma clean junk out of her house on Thursday. She let me keep whatever I wanted. I found a few things and brought them home in Dad's old Commodore 64 box. [imgt w=435 h=326]https://i.imgur.com/LmyoAIF_d.jpg?maxwidth=520&sha...[/imgt]
> Nice find on the Pac-Man box/manual. Did your grandma still have the cartridge too?
I obtained Dad’s old Atari 2600 and whatever games it had last year. I can’t remember if PAC-MAN was among them. It doesn’t matter much, though, since neither of my two 2600s actually works.

I highly recommend Atari 50. Even if it doesn't have a complete library, the experience is great, and gives an opportunity to play a lot of Atari's catalog spawning multiple generations.
The weather is starting to get a bit chilly, but as long as there are yard sales, I will go. This is one of my favorite sales, I believe they have it twice a year.
image Movies were $1 each, Mario Kart was $14. A lot of movies going into the PC. Top row is all sealed.
image Don't know too much about this, but it was $10. It is basically a Roku box?
This one tends to go for a lot of money on eBay used... and I won a sealed one on auction for one dollar. The seller listed it as "Atmosphere" instead of "Atmosfear", and the auction ended at 7 AM, so the night before I bid like three bucks on it and won it. Shipping was also cheap, set to six bucks... and the seller got kinda angry because I paid before he could adjust the cost. Um. I feel kinda sorry for the guy, I've made that mistake before too.
This is one of those unusual DVD board games I never thought I'd be able to grab for cheap. Go figure.
> Don't know too much about this, but it was $10. It is basically a Roku box?
Killer deal on the Shield. They're WAY more versatile than a Roku or Kindle Fire. I've been hoping to find a decent deal on one to use as an emu station.
Found this for $40 at a thrift store today, ibm as400/e 9406 tower. Seems it's used for business / Healthcare databases? A broken similar model sold for $720 plus shipping and working they're listed for $1000+
Anyone have any info on this? If there's anything cool I could do with it or how to test it, what it's used for?
Today, I had one of my better finds in the last few years. Paid $120 for:
N64: NFL Blitz 2000, Mario Party, Mario Kart 64, Battle Tanx Global Assault, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Snowboard Kids, Snowboard Kids 2, WCW vs. NWO Revenge, Star Fox 64, Bomberman 64, F-Zero X, Gauntlet Legends, International Superstar Soccer 64, Zelda Ocarina of Time (unfortunately all the carts have marker on them somewhere)
GameCube: Baten Kaitos Eternal Wings, Beyond Good & Evil, Skies of Arcadia Legends (all CIB) Disc Only: Custom Robo, Dragonball Z Budakai, XG3 Extreme Racing, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, F-Zero GX, Pikmin 2, Phatasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 Plus, Soul Caliber II, X-Men Legends
Wii: Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn (missing manual), Wii Sports
Almost everything will be going on my available list, stay tuned or message me directly if you're interested in a specific title
Also an interesting factoid on Radiant Dawn is it got reprinted late and those copies did not include a manual. No way to know which one this is, but there are sealed copies with no manual out there even.
As some of you knew, this weekend was Retro Game Con. Our very own Forgotten Freshness was a vendor and I was lucky enough to score this bad boy from his booth:
image Grabbed these three keychains for $50, Wii Sports for $15. They keychains were the only things I bought during my early entrance - things were just so expensive.
As it was a video game conference, what are people going to be wanting to buy? Video games! So I had to pivot and look at things that were not liable to be popular, and thus might be cheap:
image All the DVD are sealed and I got for $50. SMG was just a random $15 pickup.
image These DVD were from the same seller (but on a different day). They are also sealed and were $10. The RDRII disc was from a $1 box - I have the PS4 game but it is missing a disc. I hope this is the disc I am missing!
image There was a guy selling Pokemon and Magic cards who had one random box of baseball cards. I correctly guessed that it was going to be there all weekend. Paid $325 for it. Opened it last night and did pretty well!
Bundled in with the Jaguar was Cybermorph. They had it in the free play section of the convention, and yeah it is pretty terrible. So I decided I needed a real game to play. Forgotten Freshness to the rescue! image
Before I went to the convention, I emptied out my storage unit with items that had just been sitting around. Was able to trade most of them in with Frank. Got some killer credit and used it all (and plenty of cash) on this guy: image

Thanks for the tip, will definitely try gifting games to people cause I felt dumb for redeeming the code when I only wanted to check it, like how on PlayStation it confirms the code is legit and then asks you if you want to apply it to your balance
image The DVD game is sealed, cost me $2. The movies were $1 each - I'm glad I found that copy of Hard Boiled, it was in good shape.
That thing on the right... appears to be a very old GBA flashcart and dock. It cost me a dollar. I have no idea how to use this but it turns on if I plug it into my computer, it's recognized as something, but Windows doesn't know what to do with it. Figured it'd be okay trade fodder. I don't even have a GBA anymore, heh.
This thing. It's apparently new in box, but opened. A seller at the flea market that sets up near my house had this and sold it to me for $10. I'd been looking for a case to build a new PC with, and this is old, but it actually has space for hard drives and optical drives - almost every new case I've seen doesn't have any space for them! I still have old hard drives so I needed to get this. The accessory bag seems to be intact in there, so I took a chance on it.
I've been trying to get parts for a new system and I think I'll see if I can nab a CPU and motherboard combo at the least here. Someone has to have something recent...
I'm really digging the translucent orange. I was starting to regret my color choice, but after seeing it in person I am actually very satisfied with it
Well, I've been slacking. But when money got tough, I cut my weed prices in half by finding a place that sells $50 ounces. It's decent nuff.
But getting back on bein' productive, apparently slacking forever never lasts and you have to pull your seat in and adjust into the metric of this ergonomic social economy and have simple plans and goals, TO A BETTER TOMORROW. But what the heck about today? LOL
Found recoil in jewel case for $5, got it for $11 CAD shipped. Now I have 3 copies...but watchers on the 1 I'm trying to sell. We'll see. Seems if ppl use pricecharting, it's the same games that get undervalued, and so much parity, but I guess this world ain't par. Everyone clubs into the whole shindig their own way from wherever their alignment is, but maybe a little bit of symmetry beyond all this repetition, gotta find something that can last, to eternity, to infinity, and to forever - everyone into the koombayah and we'll reshuffle the engine and it won't mark the parked so hard that there is always an assuridty in life, at least to the way the brain works. Can't yield when the world just ain't even running at pace, everyone fly! Ha ha, that's optional. Whatever, just had to write something and anything. It prob makes little to no sense, to no avail again, onwards until we leave no trace behind but manifest it with energies and everything that is from the clouds that now have misted us in with the lag of LEFT RIGHT LEFT...down here, as once above the clouds, these things in premonition appearing as we cross distances, not quite, still an echoless universe. WTF..LOL
image $1 from eBay, brand new. Being patient pays off.
image $16 from Amazon, but I sold a bunch of Steam keys to cover it. I now officially own all Hirameki International game related items, and the whole six issue run of the magazine. I plan to get these scanned later this month (as soon as I get enough money to pay for shipping them out to a friendly scanner) so they're preserved. A Youtuber already dumped the DVDs (though, they're not clean dumps) so my concern is the books.
I went to my flea market yesterday. One of my sources is a guy who seems to buy stuff from storage units. This week, he had a ton of computer monitors, old computers, and external hard drives - all pretty heavy and different brands (WD, Seagate, etc). I took a peek at what he had, and asked for a price. He said, "it depends on how big the drive is."
I picked up a 6 TB external drive, he looked at it, and said "$35." I went OK, put it back down, and was about to leave until I saw there was a bin below with a bunch more smaller sized external drives. I dug around, saw an Nvidia Shield, some remotes, a bunch of other smaller drives, and this was near the bottom. It was an external enclosure that felt very light. I popped it open and saw it had a Samsung SSD inside. I took it out, saw that it was 4 TB, then put it back in and closed it. I asked him for a price, and since he didn't see any sizes on it, he went "$10." So I paid him and took the drive home.
I might've tried to grab more drives but they were all mechanical and there was no way of knowing if they were still good, so I only took a chance on this one.
I got home, found a USB-C cable to test it out, and it worked just fine. All SMART readings were good. And here is where things got weird.
Okay so I started digging through the drive. It was apparently used as someone's external backup, with the Shield for streaming downloaded movies, and for downloading torrents. I looked through the files, found a bunch of old shipping labels, other info that showed the previous owner's address, family photos, personal photos, and so on.
And then I opened the Torrent folders.
Friends, I don't need to tell you much about my life and how online I am, but I have never, ever seen that much gay porn in my entire life. Literally 3 Terabytes of all the data on it was gay porn. Of all sorts. I am scarred now. So many fat hairy naked dudes. Not my taste. Yech.
About 0.5 TB of the rest of the space was all cracked and pirated software, the rest was personal data and uh, the guy's personal videos, if you get my drift.
And now I'm wondering about the rest of the drives; if they contained similar stuff, or if they were from a completely unrelated lot. I really hope they didn't have anything like this one, because it could land the seller in huge trouble. Selling the drives without even checking the data on them is bad enough. But who knows what kind of stuff was in those other drives...
Anyway. After that little... adventure, I'm now trying to figure out how to securely erase its contents. When I grabbed it, I thought I could use the drive as an internal SSD for games, but it runs extremely hot, and it would probably overheat in my computer. So instead I'll be using it as an external backup drive.
If anyone has any suggestions on what programs to use, I'd appreciate it.
You should contact the guy and give em a heads up. he could be charged for distribution, or worse, if there is kiddy stuff on those drives,or if he sells adult stuff to a minor..
He only shows up on the weekends, and if someone found stuff then you bet someone would've told him about it today.
But the guy's prices are usually so high than they probably didn't even sell them to a normal customer at all. I bet a reseller bought them for cheap at the end of the day, and they probably wipe the drives immediately.
Picked up some vinyl records over the weekend notably Led Zeppelin IV and The Doors. In case anyone is interested, I listed them in the General Marketplace
Closest thing I ever found was some tiny memory card for PSP and it looked like the guy from the movie Crying Game was doing selfies. A few streets down from from me where I bought it one day for a quarter. I couldn't hit delete fast enough on those pictures but you can't unsee it. I do remember telling my friends in 1992 to never watch that movie or you'll have nightmares. I'm sure many people have bought old cameras that still had film in it and still had room for more photos. And got a nice surprise or nasty nightmares after getting the film developed.
For a while I was pretty regularly buying a particular brand of Hi8 Camcorder. These almost always had a tape inside them, and about 25% of the time the tape had homemade porn on it. It was always gross.

Yeah it's a minefield. Verifying playback was a key component of my testing, so I'd always just play back the tape inside to make sure that part of the device worked. I now have a designated tester tape I use for this, the media in the camcorder goes straight into the garbage.

I mostly avoided ones that used tape but when I did do those I listed them as for parts and stated the extent of my testing. Probably took some kind of value hit but it was still quite profitable. Good call on the tester tape.
I found Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival at GameStop today for $10–that’s 50% off. It had, no joke, nine price stickers layered on top of each other. I guess it just wouldn’t sell.
Has a bizarre track list, too. Super Mario Bros. and Zelda aren’t crazy, but they somehow got a Kirby Star Allies medley, “Life Will Change” from Persona 5, and “MEGALOVANIA.” Like, what?
So when I found that Twisted Metal PC port for @Renaissance2K, he said he'd repay me by giving me one of the games in the lot. I finally got it today: Ultraman Quiz King / Ultraman Quiz Ou:
This is a hybrid Pippin / Power Mac CD. Pippin discs are absurdly rare, let alone one still in the box, and this is complete with the obi strip and registration card.
The game has already been preserved - it turned out to match the dump in MAME, go figure - but hey, one more game for the oddity collection.
And allegedly coincidentally, he reused the padding from the box and this was on top:
Got a New Nintendo 3DS today from a store I shop at locally. They had it marked as "Damaged, AS IS" and had the price at 25 dollars. I have been looking for one of these forever, so I decided to get it and have a friend try to repair it. I get out into the parking lot and take it out of the bag and it boots right up. It's a bit beat up but works just fine. I expect that after some cleaning it will be lookin quite nice.
This exact console was a major want for me so to just find it like this was really unexpected.
Yeah I was pretty stunned. I'm wondering if an employee was trying to scam the store by marking a working console as damaged so that they could buy it off hours for a heavily reduced price. The girl checking me out said some variation "you know this is broken right?" 3 or 4 times during our brief exchange.
McKay’s? I loved raiding that place in east brainerd / Chattanooga. The best values are things they mark “very scratched” etc. they did not attempt to repair anything back then.

It could be something like that. What kind of store is it?
The store here will mark down handhelds from their nm price (which is generally above market average understandably) but it's at prices that make sense and scale with the damage.
@Gypsy It's like a half priced books or a Gamestop. They buy stuff and then resell it. So people bring in their books/games/instruments to trade in and then the store buys it to resell.
I take stuff there to trade in pretty regularly so I'm always sitting on a decent amount of store credit just waiting for them to get something in I want.
Today, I bought a physical copy of Shakedown: Hawaii . Only 3000 were made, so it was a worthy purchase even if I don’t end up liking it. It contains all the updates on-cart, which a nice bonus.
Edit: 6000 copies were printed, but half of them are the more-expensive special editions that I didn’t really want.
A Savers/Unique just opened up down the street from me. When I say down the street it is super close - just a couple minute drive depending on the lights. They officially open Thursday, but had a soft opening for a couple hours today for members (although anyone could shop, only members got the email). I wanted to stay the entire time as they were restocking throughout the two-hour window, but I had other things to do. The prices were... okay. The selection though was great. I can't remember the last time I bought almost 30 items at a thrift store. Too bad I am about to leave for Thanksgiving. Will probably start popping in every day during my lunch break. Got everything for $110.
image image I believe everything is complete except the PS2 games. Each of those are missing the manuals. Also, Super Paper Mario is in the Mario Kart case.
I just bought Urban Yeti's box, manual, and cart tray for just under $17. That's kind of a steal for it, since that's usually worth $35. [imgt w=1600 h=900]https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/3GMAAOSwguhlTTcr/s-...[/imgt] This'll look great on my cardboard box shelf, right next to Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land and Game & Watch Gallery 3.
In September, I reached out to Telegames and offered to buy the IP rights to Urban Yeti. If you can believe it, my joke email was more professional than their official response.
The Last of Us Part II is my favorite game of all time, and I managed to win an eBay auction for the collector's edition for $99.99 + shipping. It was almost brand new. The seller opened the seal and took pictures of everything before putting it back, and all of the items inside the box were still individually sealed. I never buy collector's editions, but I love this game, and the statue of Ellie is pretty great. It's a lot bigger than I had expected.
Not much recently. Stopped browsing, but gave it a valiant effort 3 days ago, and 2 days ago, picked up a new in box and sealed The World of Need for Speed. I was thinking I can price it alongside the need for speed collection, but it does seem to be the rarer one out of the 2. But now that I see a collection for $200 new and sealed, mine is just kinda beat up. A bit. So I'm guessing in time if I can make back $115 off of it, it was worth waiting an hour for the guy, than meeting him about 20 minutes away. Paid $55 CAD. Price was negotiable, but he was further out, so I was like, can you come here? Lol. Than I guess the price stayed. Not the best deal, I could have used that $55 for other things haha. Whatever, I had to find something to buy and flip
360 games were $4 each and are clean - the condition is the only reason why I bought a couple. Damn though, 10% sales tax is a dog. Equilibrium includes the digital code (no clue if used or not) and was also $4 - will upgrade my DVD copy. I hate on my parent's Goodwill as it suuuucks (prices and selection) - but The Chaser is one of my all time favorite Korean films and was absolutely stoked to find it! The DMZ arm patch was $19 and the Golden Nugget cards were $5. My family is going to Vegas in a few months and we will be staying at the Golden Nugget so I thought it was neat. Not sure if it is the same or not, but some packs seem to have sold for $80 or so.
Games on top were $3 each. Ti-83 manual was free from a thrift store book pile. Forza was $5, the three DVD were a couple bucks each. PS4 games are sealed. San Andreas was $2 at Goodwill.
All of this from a pawn shop. PS4 was $60 and sold "as-is" - they told me they were having issues installing an update. Figure if I can't get it to work, I'll just take it to eStarland and have them look. $60 for a parts only PS4 isn't horrible if that's how it goes. The other movies/games were $10 for the lot.
Popped in to McKay's books to trade some stuff in and bought all the items on the top row. The games were in the "super scratched" section, but look fine. Riddick was $10 and L4D2 was $3. Gex and Twisted Metal were $5 each and need a resurfacing. Croc was $.75 and the Skylander was $3.
In other news, I negotiated a $36 price (tax included) for the Day One Edition of Shantae: 1/2 Genie Hero Ultimate Edition . Contains the soundtrack CD, artbook, and all previous DLC on-cart! [imgt w=1200 h=1600]https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/hAMAAOSwz61lhl7S/s-...[/imgt]
McMillan & Wife and Fantastic Four were each $3. McMillan is sealed. One of the Episode 1 Racers was $9 at McKays. The other three N64 games and Diamond were $30 at a pawn shop. Moonwalker was $20 at a thrift store (lady accidentally gave me the 20% discount twice). NBA Jam was $3 and the Japanese Pokemon card magazine was $25 and is sealed.
TL;DR, I was out doing some errands in town, noticed a small thrift / used item store opened near my home, so I popped in, didn't see anything of note except for this Sony player. I didn't think it was anything special until I saw the sticker on the back.
I haven't had time to test it, and that sticker made me wonder if I can just reuse a US power supply with it. I have a non-modded version of this player somewhere, and it has the correct power cord for it (it's a generic Sony 12V, not too uncommon.)
I've never seen anything that says "dual voltage" and Google wasn't much help. Do y'all think I can just use a US cord without trouble? I didn't see any switches in there or anything.
The longbox games look great, just a little label lifting on a few games. Just about all have the foam. PSP game bundle had a sealed Jeanne D'Arc demo that wasn't in the picture so that was a nice bonus.
Paid a little under $1200 for everything after tax and buyer's premium. Don't think I am keeping any of it if anyone is interested.
I just bought the Inkling Squid and rare Inkling Squid - Orange amiibo for $31.80. Given that the orange one typically goes for $45 on its own, I'd say that's a good deal. [imgt w=1600 h=1200]https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/XYgAAOSwXrhlsaWc/s-...[/imgt] They have a little wear on them, but I've been assured cleaning products will remove the blemishes. The scuff on orange's eye is a bit unappealing, but that's fixable.
haven't been looking that much since I stopped sharing what I found here, but I guess Imma try to get back into sharing my finds from online deals here and there. Hopefully more in the spring, when people have spring energy, to blossom or pollenate.
here's what I wrote in the forum. Share some deals for canada local deals there while I share and hunt contests too. Most recent win: 2 x $500 redken giftcards. I finally entered radio after like not entering for a month and a half, I'm slacking haha. Gotta get me out of the same old routine
got this for $20. had to waste presto, but was pretty fast there and back. Sometimes it's about the bread and butter, although I have a lot of backlog to list out still, I like the adventure of getting a good deal.
I might sell these locally if someone wants them: World of Warcraft Burning Crusade World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga no cd key I think one is needed just cds Majesty the Fantasy Kingdom with Expansion think it's ok without cd, might list online, but I dunno Yuris Revenge, The Tiberian Sun, and firestorm - keys need I dunno will look into it later
About $10 a piece: Worms 2 Sega Smash Pack not this one but maybe? Command and Conquer Generals - has key Age of Empires II The Age of Kings Age of Mythology has both keys Battlefield 1942 Complete Collection (Missing Disc 4) - had it complete with cds but no cd key, was a win win, now i have one complete lol Call of Duty 2 - prob closer to $5 than $10
these I'll sell together as a package, and actually core combat is sealed too: Planetside (Sealed) Planetside Core Combat and Aftershock Expansions
That's already $60 in the $10 a piece with 2 fivers, and the planetside is prob $20 if not a bit more. $50 give or take on a short ride out. Don't get me wrong, there's work, and sometimes too much patience. But you gotta do what you gotta do. good is like a hook down, and a straight ascent up...but maybe it's a-oo-p(and reverse p) hybrid. it's a hook upward as it's gotta be controlled to the curvature of life and anything finite for too long not only wears you down but can ground you in. Ha ha, I dunno what I'm talking about. Good luck in your searches. This wasn't a great deal, but I was like, why not.
the above was posted Jan 21st
AND ANOTHER ONE posted February 11th
been seeing some deals late, that say pending, but got a deal.
Don't need to share but usually like to just get it out of me haha. Got GTA IV, GTA San Andreas, Unreal Tournament Special Edition, Flatout, Flatout 2, Dead Space, Painkiller Triple Dose, Jericho, 2142 Battlefield, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Need For Speed Most Wanted Black Edition, Call of Duty IV, Fear, Gears of War, The Suffering, The Suffering Ties That Bind, Age of Empires Collector's Edition (with 1gold, 2 and expansion). He had a few games crossed off, and I remember asking about the games a long time ago. Anyways, I asked if he could deliver, said I could do $65 for it delivered, it was $60, but I paid more, and didn't best offer. He said maybe on the weekend, and did it today.
Now I asked to see if The Suffering and Need for Speed Black were complete. He had a folder, than started taking out some games and had to put them back into the boxes, as he had more games in it. Now I say this, because I don't know if he was going to give me the extra games, or not, but when I asked to see them, I guess he was like, either he really wants to play them. Money than turns to greed. Maybe that's how he was like, ok, just take the games you were going to buy, maybe now. Not asking you to hate money, but life, like a technological skin, is the makeup to the universe, and this world is green. We are all made of the makeup of money to adapt to this world (if that makes any sense at all) and thus, we can all multiply it. But when we don't take the people first, just put the money first, we misuse not only the situation is stale and gray, but we don't live life. Live life!
Here's something I learned, the world, ALWAYS revolves around money. But if you don't put the people first, money makes people uncomfortable, they fidget, no one has enough. You gotta make it a world worth living. People first. It's all about money when you're in the static, but the true small things are that we're all in this journey together to get to the final destination safe and sound. Taylor Swift has put 300M into the National F(ootball)antasy League. She was probably smoking a joint and listening to Miley Cyrus' I Can Buy Myself Flowers and thinking out loud. LMAO. I dunno about this world anymore. Anywho. Good luck in your searches.
I guess I had someone interested in another game that I didn't have, that was in this lot. Might make close to $10 off of it, maybe not. AofE Collector's sells for $25 or more on ebay. But Need for Speed Black Edition I can prob make $55 off of it in time. Lots of copies, but has to have 5 cds and manual with key to be complete. Than The Suffering. And expansion. I remember I sold a bundle of the 2 for around $70. I'll try for $85 now. Might be some time. Got lots more games. I dunno why I like games. But I feel like a kid when I get em and put some away, and sort it out. I dunno, gotta get something else going. LMAO
I bought the Metroid: Samus Returns - Samus amiibo for a few cents over $27, making it my second-most expensive amiibo. (Shulk was $35 back in 2015.) [imgt w=1000 h=1000]https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/fGwAAOSwECtlzTCk/s-...[/imgt] A good friend of mine has been coveting my Samus Returns amiibo for years, and now I'm giving him a very nice birthday present. The Christmas present he bought me last year went way overboard (two Tarakava BIONICLEs!), so I simply must return the favor. And as it so happens, I was browsing eBay at 1:40 AM and found a small-time seller who just posted some relatively cheap amiibo. I immediately made a $20 offer (plus $3.86 shipping) and waited. After 40 agonizing minutes, I broke down and bought it for full price. If I hadn't, I may never have seen it again for such a low price.
So, many years ago a store opened near me called 2nd & Charles. I asked if it was even worth going to for shopping as it is a retail store. I remember someone saying yes, as things can fall through the cracks. Well, I dug around in their cracks.
image Everything is in various completeness, I believe the GBA games are all complete
image Everything complete, but Ariel has no manual.
Got everything for $167. May have to stop in tomorrow to grab all the GBA games they had and see if anything else was put out.
Headed back to the 2nd & Charles to take another look as I had a little more time tonight than last night. Nothing new was put out, but I grabbed a few things:
image Paid $85 for everything. One Piece is sealed but unfortunately has a security sticker on the back.
Got this deal. Had to go to Welland to pick up. Mother wanted to stop over at the falls and it was gusting cold than, so we decided to park right at the falls and I pitched $20 for it. Than I had already spent the $100 wellness gift card a bit on a free nfl order, apart from what I had to pitch, and than bought an $80 gift card to Red Lobster. The mastercard or visa still has a dollar and something on it, but I don't think I'll use it with the change or whatever. Had all you can eat shrimp today, and I had too much, but apparently the shrimp got bigger so you can't eat as much anymore.
Too much, a dinner with mother that we used to do yearly, missed it for one or two - the all you can eat shrimp -, a walk on the falls and mother kept on saying there's people, there's kids, you can't just walk and smoke, I was like Come On! lol
Meh, still don't have much money, but I guess I'll try to get better with this deal. Had an alright time today, should have more fun but than I'd be smoking and rolling to wherever I want haha. Gave $140 for the deal, thought I had missed it. But good that I didn't. Have too many games now, and was going to get a worse deal for more, so glad this panned out. I don't know if I'll take the other deal. Recoup on money due to the doubles on that one, would take long...might pass now come to think about it
Yeah, went through some of it. I saw it once, and said common games, I'll pass. Than looked again, and messaged, but didn't get a reply til the next day. Than had to borrow the car for the ride as our old car is pretty kapoots right now.
The thing that made me go on it, was The Thing and The Shield.
I did notice he's got most of these games in oversized dvd cases, and also noticed, some have the manuals in them as the front, and some have the box cut out and inserted into the dvd casings. That's the case with The Thing and many others. So no real boxes. Fortunately The Witch King expansion and The Shield are originally in their cases.
But yeah, before that, I did the math. 150 games approx x$5 each, that's $750...some will sell for more, some prob around there. I'm going to try to be fairer these days on ebay, but still have to go through all the listings and somehow adjust prices if they didn't sell for too long. Than again some things i don't mind taking a while. People want these things, but don't need to have it right away.
Too much to do, keeps on piling. Had another deal I was thinking of getting, but now I'll let it slide and pass. All new games, and multiples, some that prob wouldn't even sell too fast. And than all the jewel cases and manuals are inside sometimes, so I may need some spare jewel cases to get this box or pile on the road. Worst case, I'll ship in some dvd cases and put the contents inside. People prob got some spare jewels if they collect games. I prob don't have enough for this big box of games. It was pretty heavy too.
this was unexpected, but don't have box for it. It sold for $150 CAD, I have it from the previous lot, without box pretty much. I'm guessing I can now get more than $50 profit from it. Another jewel case is same price as the fully boxed sold for...
and this is the deal I didn't feel like making a $50 offer and def getting it, but shared:
I knew trespasser was $100 prob on it's own, but box looked kinda rough. operation genesis worth $40...but borrowing the car when it was just borrowed, and driving today - really don't feel like it still. Guess I'm looking for something new to put me in a brand new spin on thing, no longer locked to a past I seem to be warped by or not understand fully, but than again, how many people have purpose and fulfillment from start to finish, guess it can be a feeling, but it's def better to keep it on rolling...Sunnier and Cloudier...Indica blazing (though I bought maui wowie - sativa - lol).

I used to be a lot more organized. Now kinda drifting, that's why I slack and prob didn't get the other. I still haven't gone through it to list any out, or the 2 previous ones I posted. Actually, from the 2 previous I posted, I sold 3 games from there for $30. Did include my inserts for the jewel for 1 game that had only 1 of the 2 discs. Now it's more incomplete, but still incomplete. I still haven't listed a lot of the brand new games I got a long time ago from a $200 lot that filled up my old car nearly fully with 2 seats free. I actually don't find it that interesting anymore. Hence probably why I'm sharing and getting a few more people into finding some deals here and there. I don't mind, but some days my meds are low, I feel like walking and singing around, and going into the city, and trying to break down the barriers and make it a republic for the people. Seems like asking for change is the opposite, it's self sufficiency and money the denominator of all the interaction. Then I thought you can't make up songs on the spot by flying through some parts of the guitar, but maybe you can. Seems I'm exfoliating, trying to find purpose in totality, and as such, usually used to think about all the negative, rather than focus on what brings us all together. The people have to live, and if money is anything, it's providence on the lap on the game board, but tax on true living, but it's not the only problem to living, we are all aligning to how we want the world to be. When things make us sad, we're butt-holes. When we're happy, we'll blindly share and get on about it, not just for the sake of these things. Guess I'm veering off, but gotta get to a life, maybe we can't all get along while we're here, but maybe somehow we have to. So as long as we stay open and bright, at some points, all the connections will fuse, and cause such an international, that everyone will be universally sound, and we'll get the universe back on track. I want to see the future, but maybe everything our brain does is some illusion that draws us out, we just can't create. Whatever the mind is, it's suited for earth, and earth isn't terrible. We've all been wrong, and probably more right, just not directly, but so goes on life. Gotta live and let live.
But yeah, was better at it. Feel like I'll soon put some effort in. If I don't veer off and try something new to cure my abstract supposition of same and kinda boredom of the same.
I'll get to it. Kinda idling now. Would like more deals, but not searching. Would like something to do and don't have much money, not entering contests. Would like more money, but it's never about the lining of it, rather something to say you're doing alright in this life...haha.
I take it I don't always feel like a vagabond or a renegade, or want to change everything though the world will probably be the same until the last few days, if that's how it goes down, which also means life has had to have fulfilled their source and are moving on up.
I do sell online mostly. I could have a garage sale, but that probably wouldn't do much. I guess it used to run good, when I had lots of deals, and just kept on coming back and listing higher priced items. With all these smaller things, I'm def idling, but for sure, I'll make a $5 and $10 pile from the games I just got, the big 150+ game lot, and prob in time, sell at least 50-60 of them via online. Could list them all online with individual pictures, but prob in time, but that would be tough. I missed a few good deals, a big box one, where some games were worth money, and would have been easier sells for collectors. I think like a collector on online sales that I don't directly communicate beforehand with, but then like a gamer, when I'm dealing with locals. Also a huge jewel case lot, this was HUGE. I would have loved to go through that one, kept on trying to take it from the other person when it was idling for a while, but the seller wouldn't budge haha. Didn't even reply.
The games I sold for $30 were call of duty modern warfare 4, age of empires collector's edition and Star Wars battlegrounds saga. Could have made prob $45 or so from it online, but would have taken a while. I try to be fair locally, but that also means I should go through my list and update prices to be more current and make sales.
It's good when you've got routine, and you want to be useful. Once you get ideas and want to live your life, it's like, come on.
Like yesterday, I was like why do signs not have emoticons or some avatars, or like a pizza place in a sign, having a slice of pizza lit up. World's boring and standard. We're exotic and free and have to align universally before the parameters of this world yield us all into something we love, are alive, and at the same time, are free to be.
just got to listing 3 things out today, yeah real slow
but see the suffering, the first version, for $12.05 USD shipped...it's def gonna sell before mine, but I just want it outta there haha. Buy if you feel it's a good deal for yourself
I just won a cheap Kirby lot with no competition. All this for just under $16: [imgt w=749 h=863]https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/XswAAOSw6I1lxmRl/s-...[/imgt] I was mostly in it for the exclusive KRtDL bookmarks, but the rest is nice as well! The Kirby's Dream Land cartridge is untested, so fingers-crossed it works.
Did a little thrifting, found some good things. Went over to the electronics section and found this hanging behind some controllers. Got it all for $10.
evidently, for the N64 Kirby game, there was a cross-shaped item that used to be a boss or maybe the final boss, it became a meme ever since. EDIT* guess the guy at the game store was just pulling my leg, didn't see any cross-like weapon in Kirby and the crystal shards but did find this write-up someone did on Kirby:
Is anyone looking for JVC X'EYE? A broken one just appeared locally on the marketplace for $280 or best. comes with av cable. She said the issue is it doesn't take power
I was walking around my neighborhood flea market last week, didn't find much, but I figured I'd go see this dude who sells power supplies for things to see if he had any 12V Sony PSUs for players. I go there, spot the Bluray player with the right power supply, and ask for a price. He says 150 pesos (about $9) and I hesitate, until I flip it over and see this sticker.
I asked if they had any warranty and they said if there's any problems I can go back and get a replacement. So I paid and went home. I tested the player and it works flawlessly, DVDs work right out of the box and Bluray regions are configured with the color buttons on a BD remote. The only issue is that power cord (I need to replace it, it looks spliced) and the remote is for a DVD player, so I hope they'll let me exchange it next Wednesday.
image The two top discs are from a trade here, the bottom stuff was about $3 total. Yes, The Minis is a bootleg, but it's friggin Dennis Rodman playing basketball with little people, how could I resist?
> Oh, is that why my DVD/BR remotes have buttons that are nothing more than a color?
Those were originally used as special function buttons on Bluray discs. They could be programmed to have specific functions in movies, like saving bookmarks, accessing a special feature, or to act as buttons in set top BD-J games. I have a ton of discs that use them for games. Though most companies stopped using the buttons after a few years.
I also found one BD-Audio disc that uses them to change the audio track.
Nevermind, thought there'd be more action on my fb and Kijiji...guess the lot I bought, I have to do the hard way, organize, picture and list, or I'll be waiting too long. The kids are taking school too seriously, it's not cool haha
Still no action and I'm still not trying too hard at life, but getting there to do more, sometime. Lol. Saw a deal that was close enough and got the pc game lot: for $5 and ds game cartridge lot: for $5. So I spent $10. I thought I could get $10 for rise of nations, at least 10 for age of mythology and then $5 and $5 for the aofe III expansions, they don't come with manuals. That's $25, not sure what the myst game, aspheron's call (if anything) and the rise of nations is prob a $5 game, have a few already in my collection that I'm trying to sell lol.
The ds games, it was the same person, after I saw her ads, so I figured that was a good deal too. Grabbed that too. I have a ds with no hinges or angles to hold up the screen I was trying to sell, but maybe I can play some of these games. Maybe, but maybe not. I don't really game anymore. Meh.

Sony must have reused that case design multiple times or something. I swear I had an older BR player in the same shell.
I also currently own a model BDP-BX650 as a spare to throw into an extra room, that uses the same shell. While it does 4K upscaling, it only supports DVD 1 and BD A (according to the back, haven't tried any import movies myself)
Oh yeah they used two or three different shells for their models.
There's that one, which is flat (I have another model that's a 4K upscaler which uses the exact same shell), one that's got like a mini pyramid on top, and one that has a mini pyramid but the top is on the right side.
Looks like Asian countries got a different top, too. :)
Anyway, I got this in the mail as thanks for helping get a game for a friend:
This particular DVD is an interactive game thing from Japan, for a series called Saiyuki or something. It was never officially licensed or translated to English. It's basically a choose your own adventure kinda deal.
But it DID get an unofficial bootleg version that removed all the interactivity. I'll have to dig for it later on.
I was looking at some DVD players at the flea market, this gigantic one caught my eye so I dug it out and... saw this staring back at me. I paid about nine bucks for it. It's an LG BH100. I just tested it, DVDs and HD DVDs work beautifully, Blurays not so much (the player is ANCIENT so it isn't compatible with more recent stuff.)
The only issues are no remote and no HDMI. But for that price, not complaining that much.
No, it DOES play Blurays. But at least from my tests, it doesn't like some of them.
I tried Swordfish, it detected the disc as a Bluray, but it spat it out. I then tried The Kingdom. Detected the disc, took a long time to boot to the BD-J menu, but it worked. I just couldn't start the movie because I don't have a remote, and hitting the Play button on the player, while the disc was sitting at the menu, did nothing.
I suspect it doesn't like Swordfish disc because of copy protection reasons. It might need a certificate update so it can read the disc's DRM. (Discs can have updates on them, or they're installed with firmware updates.) Or maybe the lens is dirty, I don't know. I only wanted this for the HD DVD playback, anyway. I got like... six different Bluray players in storage, including the two region modded ones, haha.
Also, I'm extremely stupid and didn't see the HDMI port to the left of the analog outputs. So yeah it has HDMI out.
Randomly stopped in a thrift store and found a 1986 bridgestone mb-1. Everything seems to be in good condition and maintained. Not sure if anyone cares about bikes here but this is pretty cool.
