I think the moons you can buy count towards 100%? Not sure, can't remember if they're limited, maybe they aren't. It's fine, bit of a cheat for people to cheese the star count if they need to.

I really liked Odyssey. It's my favorite Mario game since Mario 64. I thought everything about it was great, felt allot like Mario 64, only allot more. My only complaint is you can just buy moons. I still tried to figure out how to get them all, but sometimes I'd just buy some to move on to the next level. I eventually found them all, but many were well after I completed the story.

Sea of thieves is a games that I've put 20 or so hours into, its kinda fun, but then I get bored really fast. I'm not sure if they changed anything but the fact that all the weapons feel super weak and there is no upgrades gives me no incentive to keep playing. Its like I earn all this loot but nothing but cosmetic stuff to use it on. It took me like 3 hours to complete 1 of the beginner quest with these metal skeletons as just 1 enemy would take like all my ammo then I'd need to lap around the island and find more, then repeat the process for all 50 of them. I have no idea what the story is about or what is going on. And the time it takes to get from island to island really makes the game drag on after a while.

Astroneer was another I just can't get into. I was hoping for a better No Man's Sky, but so far its just not for me.

Not necessarily. Around 50% of auctions are Buy It Now auctions where the seller sets the price.
You gotta look at the median price. Like if one copy sells for $100 and one sells for $50 that doesn't make the value $100.
Same with months of the year. Something that sold in December doesn't hold the same value today.
There's also money laundering and fake pricing on Ebay.
You gotta factor in the average price over the last couple of months.
Example: Let's say I have 10 copies of Haunting Ground sealed.....
Every couple of weeks or months I might list one and have a buddy of mine win it at an astronomical price.
That sets the price precedent and will inflate the market price. This happens all of the time in the collectibles market.
It's like the time Mario 64 sold for 1 million on Ebay yet the highest one sold prior with a super high grade was like 40k....
Just because it sold for a mill doesn't make it worth a mill. It just begins to inflate the average market price.
The value is what the average person will pay unless you have a pristine rare copy of something so a price comparison can't easily be made.
That can change the value drastically.
Offering used items on here for the same price as something I can buy right now retail serves no purpose on this site.
You can offer something here for the exact same price as Ebay, but I doubt you're going to get very many offers.
I would purchase on Ebay for the price back guarantee.
Regardless I don't think I've ever downvoted anyone based on pricing.
I think downvotes should be turned off entirely.

WIP, will update with pictures and prices later within a day or two. Feel free to send offers. Not looking to check lists or trade besides maybe Elemental Gearbolt (PS1) or Um Jammer Lammy (PS1).

When I was a kid, Gameboy was the proverbial crap. So many days spent out in the yard, trying to twist and turn my screen so I can get the right balance of sun hitting the screen and not getting a glare since they weren't backlit. When it got to Gameboy color, that was crazy, actual colors, and the model itself was so much less bulky. Then Gameboy Advance hit and it was like we jumped 50 years into the future, somewhere between SNES and N64 graphics in the palm of your hand, in a slick wide handheld - still wasn't backlit yet but still the quality of handhelds was changed forever. Nowadays we've all got 3DS and Vita and Switch to make all that look like nothing but there was just some extreme charm to the GBA library, so many remakes or sequels of beloved SNES games. I remember my mom bought me Circle of the Moon before the GBA system was even available to us from EBgames, then we went to Rita's ... good times.

Well I've gotten older, realize we only have so much time for gaming available to us in the day, and it's time to move on. Got more games to play or replay than I know what to do with, and busting out the old GBA or DS Lite doesn't really interest me anymore. I'm way too far away from being a collector, so I'm going the other way, just getting them out of my hands into other people's.

- I'm the original owner of basically everything for sale here, mostly bought from Gamestop or Toys R Us or Amazon.
- Pricing wise, the usual thing, something below ebay in the 10-20% range. Anything 30% below recently sold listings I will likely automatically say no to.
- Shipping wise they'll be very well protected. If you want I can flatten the GBA game boxes (organically, not forcefully ...) but typically I just ship them whole with a billion layers of insulation so not even a stomp to the package could reach it.
- Standard Gametz trading priority, I will send first if requested to higher star traders, lower stars than me I'd appreciate payment first.
- I only accept F&F Paypal as payment.

I don't even think of it as a chaos, I just think newer MK games are more action-packed and fun. I've gone back and played some of the older MK games (MK64 in particular) and they're SO boring. Just long stretches of driving with nothing happening. No thanks. Even with so much more going on in the newer games, the better players are still going to win the majority of the time (but not every single time) and I think that makes it more exciting. One of the best feelings is when you have some bad luck, get knocked around a few times, and still manage to comeback and squeeze out the win. It's nowhere close to a coin flip. Go find some of the top players to play with and let me know how many times you win due to the randomness and chaos.

Just giving it a shot. I have a carrier unlocked Galaxy S21 5G in mint condition, always had a case and screen protector on it. Also have a Nintendo Switch V2 with the box and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Looking to trade them for a Steam Deck, 64GB model would be fine.

I would obviously love this, but with TotK coming out soon, there is zero chance of this happening.

My prediction is a spinoff game based on the movie based on the game.

Believe it or not, this is my biggest want (or the rumored remake of MP1). I just want to play this again with cleaned up graphics, widescreen support (without paying over $150 for GameCube component wires) and no friggin waggle.

Beyond this, my prediction is we'll get Pikmin 4 soon. I'm thinking of a May or maybe June release. And at some point, they are going to have to start talking about the 2nd half of the year. They need to keep people interested and excited for the future.

I don't have any predictions, but I'll post my ongoing wish list:

1) Mario Kart 9 - MK8 came out in 2014! I know they ported it to the Switch, but still, it's time for some new Mario Kart! I'd love to see them go full Smash Kart in the next one, bringing in way more characters from non-Mario games. Not so much for the characters though, I really don't care who I play as, I just like that it would open up tons of new level possibilities. Unfortunately, we won't be getting a new Mario Kart any time soon since they're only halfway through the Booster Course Pass, but it's still my top want. I want a brand new Mario Kart, danggit!

2) 2D Zelda - Not a port or a remake, just a brand new 2D Zelda game without any (stupid) gimmicks.

3) Donkey Kong Country 4 - More like the original trilogy, not Returns/Tropical Freeze. I know this is incredibly unlikely, but it's staying on my list anyway.

4) 2D Mario - something new that breaks free from the tired NSMB formula. A 2D Odyssey with Cappy could be great!

5) 3D Mario - I'd be happy with 3D World 2, Galaxy 3, Odyssey 2, something similar to SM64, or something brand new! I do think the next one will be a sequel though.

6) Yoshi's Woolly World port - Besides TP:HD and WW:HD (which I do think will find their way to the Switch eventually) this is the only Wii U game I care about that hasn't either been ported or gotten a superior sequel. It's one of my favorite games, and I would really love to have access to it on the Switch.

7) Pokemon, Let's Go (Gen 2) - I loved the unique mechanics of the first one, and really hope to see more gens clremade in a similar way.

8) F-Zero - I had dropped this one from my list for a while after playing Fast Racing Neo and being very disappointed. But, it's back on the list now because I'm sure Nintendo would do a much better job.

9) Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons remake - After playing the Link's Awakening remake, I wanted them to remake these two games in the same style. Now, I'm not so sure that style makes as much sense for the Oracle games. They're a bit darker/grittier than LA, and don't have the whole dream aspect. Either way, I'd love to see them remade!

10) 3D Zelda ports/collection - Ideally, we'd get a collection of all the pre-SS 3D Zelda games, so the 3DS versions of OoT and MM, TP:HD, and WW:HD. But, it's Nintendo, so I know that's asking a LOT. It's hard to see them not releasing TP:HD and WW:HD as stand-alones, we all know they'd sell like crazy. So, I don't really know what to expect, I just know I'd like to see these games become available on Switch.

11) Metroid Prime Trilogy - I've wanted to give this series another chance for a while, and would really love to do so on the Switch if at all possible. I really hope we get the whole trilogy at once, not individual releases. Since they released the trilogy as one product on the Wii, I have hope that they'll do the same next time.

12) 2D Metroid - I'd be fine with a brand new one, or a remake. I thoroughly enjoyed Samus Returns and Dread, so I want 2D Metroid games to keep coming!

13) DS/3DS Player - something like the GBA Player, but for DS and 3DS games. Not exactly sure how this would work, maybe some add-on to the dock that could communicate with the Switch wirelessly, so the Switch itself would be the controller and bottom screen, and the add-on would display the top screen on the tv. It's not perfect, but I think it could work, and it would be great to be able to play ALL handheld Nintendo games on a TV.

Parting with my collection as I've moved on to new hobbies and interests (new goalie pads are expensive!).

All from my personal collection. Stored in UGC for the most part. Still going through which games have manuals/maps but I will update when I'm done inventorying and photographing. If you need more photos prior to the album update just lmk.

WTS/LTTF a Steam Deck mostly. Still pricing things out in a spreadsheet but feel free to shoot me offers. PPFF/VM preferred.

Doom 64 has gone back to Hell. In its wake lie the defeated occupants of the Retro Talkshop Thread, none of which were able to finish the game this month.

I made a semi-valiant attempt, but I got off to a late start, and the game's difficulty curve took some adjusting. I made it as far as Level 15 and will finish the game if it kills me. And it will. A disgusting number of times.

On that note, here's the tally for February's Game of the Month:

1. Final Fantasy VI - 21 points
2. Pikmin 2 - 15 points
3. Wario Blast - 12 points
4. Mario vs. Donkey Kong series - 10 points
5. Super Mario Galaxy - 9 points
5. Harvest Moon franchise - 9 points
7. Wizards & Warriors - 8 points
7. Sword of Sodan - 8 points
8. Chip's Challenge - 7 points

Final Fantasy VI - released as Final Fantasy III in North America - was originally released for the Super Famicom Super Famicom and Super Nintendo Super Nintendo. The game's legacy as the last old-guard Final Fantasy game is massive, and it's still celebrated for its memorable characters, unique antagonist, and robust soundtrack.

I beat two more games: Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! Nintendo 3DS and Wario Blast: Featuring Bomberman! Game Boy Advance .

[imgt]https://i.imgur.io/EqwBJYL_d.webp?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium[/imgt]

As my first real Minis game, March Again was quite good. It was longer than it needed to be, but most of the puzzles were well-made and comfortably challenging. The ones that make heavy use of Thwomps are a pain, and the DK boss fights are pretty weak, but otherwise it’s a good time. Got all 100 gold stars.

As for Wario Blast, beep Bomberman. It’s a decent game, but holy cow, Bomberman is ruthless and annoying by design. The enemies wander around placing bombers thst detonate in four directions, and your own bombs vaporize you—one hit and you’re dead! You have to best the enemies in 2 out of 3 matches, then they add more. There are upgrades like the ability to kick bombs forward and even Wario’s first motorcycle. Once you get the ability to shove and stun enemies, you become nearly omnipotent.

But then bosses come into play. Some are easy, but others are incredibly frustrating. They’re usually invincible unless you destroy some projectile to make them briefly vulnerable. But that takes a lot of setup and they take multiple hits to kill; one mistake kills you, remember. The final boss is dreadful, with three separate phases and numerous projectiles that it can launch at a moment’s notice. Took at least 20 tries to beat him, and that’s ignoring all the deaths I suffered at bosses 2 and 4. Never again.

I keep games I might go back to later. Resident Evil 2-3 Remake, Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Kirby Dream Land 3, Super Mario World, Zone of the Enders 1 and 2. Dead Space 1-2. I buy a lot of digital games and am forced to keep them. Megaman X 1-3. Star Fox 64. Infamous Second Son and First Light. I still have a N64 and SNES. Might check out buying them on the Switch if they still have the virtual console.

Thinking about buying a Sindel Light Gun and getting Time Crisis and House of the Dead.

I don't really keep many modern games now. I think the only upcoming modern game I might keep is Resident Evil 4 remake but buying that digitally.

Continuing my purge:

This is a Japanese N64 system, comes with OEM Blue Controller, AC and AV Cables, it has a region free cart tray installed. I will also include the original Japanese OEM tray.

Comes with a crappy US Turok cart, it works, just a former rental, and a Japanese Big Box Mario Kart with Controller bundle(CIB game and Gray Controller in a big box).

Looking for $125 shipped.

Trade/partial trade is cool.

PM if interested.

I don’t usually like games like Rift Apart, but it was very good. The controls are a lot tighter and the cameras are a lot better than Mario 64 for sure. I’ve never played Sunshine, so I couldn’t compare there.

Visually impressive, easy to play and very tight. I don’t like it because it’s boring to me. I’m minority on that.

How is the Ratchet & Clank series?

I received Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for Christmas but other than a brief demo that I barely remember of the first game 20 years ago I haven't played any of this series before. I am kinda-sorta considering playing through the entire series via PS+ Premium before I open the PS5 game I got. But there are more games in this series than I thought, so before I commit to that I wanna know have these older games aged well? Are the controls and camera troublesome like when trying to revisit Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine? Does this sound like a dumb idea and I should just go straight to the PS5 game?

"In Rainbow Roads" - a cover of Radiohead's album "In Rainbows" but in the style of Mario 64's music. Pretty neat, especially "Nude".

Just finised Super Kiwi 64 on Nintendo Switch.

I enjoyed it, but it wasn't as good as the devs' Toree line of games.

I think this + Super Mario Land 2 qualifies me for the Hop 'n' Bop badge as well grin

Also please remove Neo Geo from my list wink
