I'm slowly working on a collection of the WildCATS figures, going for a new in box set. I only have 3 so far though, Hellspont, Warblade, and Zealot.

Other than that I just grab random figures, recently got one of Josuke from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Teddie/Kuma from Persona 4 The Animation.

I have a lot of nostalgia for classic toys, but never had any interest in collecting them. Just video games for me. The only toy I would like to collect is Legos, but they're so dang expensive, and would take up so much space. It's not even something I can say "maybe one day..." because once they're out of print, they skyrocket to even more ridiculous prices.

Pretty much just Legos for me. Though I will say, even with Legos I struggle to find the time to complete the larger sets. The two large sets I picked up were the Eiffel Tower and Hogwarts. I finished the Eiffel Tower and it's now on display in my wife's classroom, she is a French teacher. I've owned the Hogwarts set for several years and it's still mid-build. I need a clear weekend to finish it up. At that point though, I really don't know what I'll do with it. Maybe just sell it.

I've never been big into figure collecting. But I do have a bunch of the 90's burger king toys from the pokemon promo and a bunch of the tomy pokemon figures. All from my childhood that I've kept. I wouldn't mind getting more at some point. Possibly some amiibo too from smash characters I really like.

There were from 1/7 scaled figures of Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade 2 that released a few years ago that I would love to have but they're way too pricey now. The upcoming amiibo releases will probably satisfy my need.

I'm all over the map with toys.

Right now I'm really obsessed with Ashley Wood's Underverse line of 1:6 scale figures.

My most recent purchase from that line was the Mean Essene JC which comes in this huge box.

I keep most of my collection at my photography studio as during down times on when inspiration hits I'll photograph some of them.

One of my walls features a good portion of my collection that are still in boxes, including some original Super Powers that I've had since I was a kid.

I'm also obsessed with the Soul of Chogokin metal robots from the late 70's and early 80's robot cartoons I used to watch as a kid (Force Five - Starvengers, Grendizer, Gaiking, Danguard Ace).

I have the three Starvengers and a Grendizer with saucer but I had to stop there as they are expensive.

I'm especially a huge fan of NECA's Alien figures in the compression suits. I love the Mobieus-style designs of them.

I have a question: do yall tend to keep the majority of your figures packaged or do you "let em breathe"? For years now I've always kept mine in their packaging. But boy, is that starting to take up space, and for figures that haven't really changed in value or anything. Not that value is why I keep them packaged, I just like to have everything together as it was released, but lately I've been REAL tempted to just rip the plastic off entirely and display the figures in their full glory.

Buddy got me this guy for my birthday a while back and I finally opened him up the other day. It was very satisfying to tear him off the card:

I keep some of my figures in their boxes hung up. Others I have opened and had on display and tossed the boxes. I have plastic shopping bags filled with various figures that have decorated shelves over the decades. Now all just hanging out in a giant plastic orgy in those bags.

Those Figma consoles are amazingly awesome!!

Yah those, and Figma in general, seem to be badass. I may need to try to get my hands on a few of them.

Good Smile and Max Factory are good companies. GSC has some really high end stuff as well as really good budget options. They cover a big range.

I’ve bought a couple of Figmas on discount: Skyward Sword Link at GameStop and Gridman from Madman (anime distributor in Australia). Yeah, they’re pretty nice.

I’ve also got a few S.H. Figuarts: Sailor Moon, Super Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Super Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Venus, Mario, and Kamen Rider Kuuga Rising Titan Form.

Also have several Nendoroids: Kirby (regular and Ice), Meta Knight, Waddle Dee, Isabelle, Professor Layton, Luigi, and Mei from Overwatch (I don’t play Overwatch, just thought she was cute). And to the surprise of absolutely no one, I have the Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth Nendoroids preordered.

Hoping for a reprint and decent deal on Beam Kirby and an eventual King Dedede Nendoroid.

Nice! The Nendoroids are definitely cute. The only two I have are Geralt and Ciri.

I miss the few GI Joes I had as a kid... but tbh I miss the "lesser brand" CORPS way more. I had so many CORPS figures, I would die for that collection back.

Anyhow, we were talking about Batman: Death of the Family in the Comics thread so figured I'd whip these up. Wonderful figures that I've been on the fence about opening since I first got them. Don't think either is particularly sought after/valuable, but I like having them complete in the box with all the accessories and whatnot.

Ha ha, I always love these unlicensed figures with names like "The Last Survivor" with the Last of Us font.

I've seen then for all kinds of figures. The Mad Max Fury Road one is awesome looking too.

I've got some ThreeA 1:6 scale figures from Ashley Wood's line, and the detail is nuts. All the weapons and bags and holsters and ... everything is so detailed and operable. I've eyeballed a few of those "off-name" figures but the prices usually scare me away, but 1:6 scale is a whole other world. So good. So expensive.

I don't buy unlicensed stuff but that is awesome without a doubt.

Hell yah, they all look like great figures. Like Feeb alluded to, some of the character choices are a bit weird though. Leo as Igor is a decision haha. But they all look great as actual figures, I may need to throw a pre order on the others.

I also still think it's weird having to pre-order action figures but this is the world we live in I guess. Ride or die.

I just ordered the 1/4 scale (Movie) Shredder to go along with my turtles. Got it at a reduce price due to the box not being mint, which I dont care about. Ill have to leave it in the box for now since I dont have space for it on my displays but I couldnt pass on the discounted price. I hope they make a 1/4 Super Shredder from the 2nd movie.

Also preordered one of the 7 inch Last Ronin figures from Neca. I dont normally buy figures that small but it looks pretty good.

They also added a lot of the new ones coming out, just search GI Joe classified on their website for those to come up. One note about target preorders though, they charge you up front - they call it an authorization charge but it renews before it falls off every time, and sometimes it renews 2 or 3 times before the others go away depending on your bank, which is stupid and highly annoying. I don’t typically preorder much from them for that reason. But these are target exclusives and sold out on Hasbro, so options are limited if you want them.

Also got my Spirit and new Storm Shadow figures in the other day, I’ll take some pics at some point and post them up. Spirit may be my favorite of all the classified figures currently, just an amazing piece.

Nice Lunar, I have just one variation of a mini console. My sister picked it up for me at a gaming convention. All of the pieces come apart. I thought it was neat that it came with little carts/discs that can be taken in/out of the consoles

I saw those in a YT video yesterday. I think the TMNT figures look fudging terrrrrrible.

They're basically 90ish each, which is steep, but they look incredible. They're of the same quality as that 12inch Ellie I got, just in 6 inch form. Weapons are usually highly detailed, have some limited function, etc. That TNS site looks kinda sketch but I've used them before with no issues, in case anyone is wondering. You can put down a deposit to reserve a pre-order, or just pay in full up front. Either way, these things almost always double in price after release and the only place to find them later is eBay. They're not licensed but neither was my CCToys Ellie I got, and it's one of, if not my favorite piece that I own.

Figures and Statue prices have gone up considerably in the past few years. Play Arts Kai are like $140+ now, and I remember buying them at $70 at most. Kotobukiya statues have also gone up in prices. I may have to limit myself to "prize" figures in the future if these keep going up.

@kevolones I was thinking half yeah. I got some prize figures recently and they were fine. Especially when you consider that I got them for 600 yen each before shipping.

And as an aside to folks here, be careful using some sites ordering figures. I THOUGHT Giantoy was a reputable place, but I had an order a month ago that they've been giving me the run around on, and they're saying they won't refund me now because the address must have been incorrect which caused the package to get lost. It was a $200+ order. Checking into a chargeback but I used PayPal through my bank, not a credit card, and both paypal and the bank are saying that I have to go through the other to get my money back. It sucks that I have my Joel and Ellie figures pre-ordered through them, but I'm gonna go ahead and cancel that at this point.

Ive started using Entertainment Earth recently. They seem to be very careful with packaging and they really try with the whole "mint" thing. And they've had a free shipping code for months so thats also great.

I really like BBTS but the $4 flat shipping doesnt ship to me. Their store is unmatched though.

I havent had any issues with online stores except for Toy Origin. Stay away from them.

I need to dig those out and snap a few pics. I'm not really into collecting toys without him. He's 14 now and its almost died out. :cry:

I have a bunch of the figures WITH the masks lol. Quite a few vehicles, and boulder mountain

I think I have the backpack from one of my MASK figures somewhere, but that's about it.

The Cult line has several more coming out early next year which I'll definitely grab, along with some motorcycles and an armored Mech unit they have :O. Pretty excited about that.

EDIT: And as a side note, I finally got my money back from the Giantoy fiasco I posted in here about a while back. They DID own up to the mistake being on their end, sent me a refund, and gave me a $25 store credit, so that story has a happy ending!

Are those characters from a video game or something? Very neat figures regardless.

I need to be super strict with money right now, so the toy buying will be put on hold. I may just tear the band-aid off and open up some of the figures I've been keeping in box so I can display them easier in the apartment and take better photos of them. Will probably start with those TMNT/Power Rangers figures I posted a while back.

Yeah, it’s difficult to get most of the TMNT stuff. I had a bit of luck having 3 Walmarts in relative close proximity, so I’ve been able to grab all the TMNT movie stuff for retail. I haven’t tried to collect any of the animated series NECA stuff because I’ve rarely seen most of them in my local Targets.

Very nice. Megahouse does very nice figures and statues. I remember some very nice ones used to MSRP for around $60-90 and now they go more twice that or more. I was broke then tho

There isn't a ton I would want now and I have some I wouldn't mind getting rid of. Might go for something from Monogatari and/or a Gilgamesh (from fate) figure. Do have my eye on it in case one pops up for a bit less.

I normally dont buy figures this small but its the only figures available from the Power Rangers Battle for The Grid Designs.

Unfortunately theyre rather expensive at $34 each for what you get but I guess they look kinda cool. For the price, they shouldve at least added a 2nd head sculpt (without helmet).

There are 2 more that Im not planning on getting. Cammy and Ken, but it looks like they just recolored some other ranger sculpts and didnt even try. Lazy cash grab so Im not getting those.

Ever since we moved into the new apartment, my funds have been super tight so I unfortunately haven't been able to partake in snagging any new figures or anything. Bummer for sure. I might pull some of my boxed figures out of storage soon to open them up and display them just to revisit them and feel like a toy collector again haha.

Here’s my budding trading card collection. Used to have a ton as a younger fella but those all fell by the wayside. Figured just flipping through my binder in quick gif form would be easier than posting a ton of photos. Starts with my LOST cards, followed by a full set of retro Savage Dragon cards, and then my recently purchased AEW cards (snagged a blaster box from both the 2021 and 2022 sets).

Yah I love the figures based off the Mirage comics, there’s a few I’d love to snag but I don’t wanna go down that wormhole. Sticking to the Archie comics line, and only ever started in the first place because my pal gifted me Man Ray haha. Plus the turtles in that Mirage line have the classic red mask look, so it’s just like buying 4 of the same figure. Holding out for whatever other figures release in this Archie line, whenever the heck that may be.

Do any of yall have any “holy grail” toys? I have a few from my childhood that I’d love to get back. Off the top of my head:

Damn those do look awesome. And I hate to say it, but $150 isn't so bad for all 4. I do wish Neca would figure something out as far as supply and demand goes, you have to believe a lot of those sold solely to be REsold. Although it does say that a limited supply would be released daily for 21st-23rd, so maybe there's still hope?

And it's apparently a SDCC exclusive but they're selling online?
