I must be an idiot, or misreading something.

You say the total value is around 2700 in price charting, but you will sell it outright for 3300?

Or Tier 2, 1250 PC value you will sell once the auction hits 1200?

If the bidding ends at 500 bucks, the bundle is only tier 1 items?

I want to bid I just don't understand how any of this works.

Thanks for the questions @bumsplikity

The PC Value on this is roughly 2700 possibly more I find i keep adding to the tiers i havent put up yet. I generally don't use pc values, but for something like this I am willing to to open it up to you guys.

For the tier 2 question. All Tier 1 items will be going to the winning overall bidder once the 300 mark has been reached. Thus opening up and revealing the next tier.

If That tier hits 1200 total it will be included in full to the winning overall bidder. If it does not the winning overall bidder will have the total value following the first tier at 300 to use towards items included in the second tier. In this case tier 3 4 and 5 items will become immediately for sale.

If the total bidding hits 2700 all items will go to the winning bidder. Payment plays are accepted, but 50% must be paid upfront.

I hope this helps.

Thanks again to @Jaded and @Frank for getting the ball rolling on this

Thanks @Zodd

100 more to go before guaranteeing the first tier and opening the second.

As a reminder if a tier goal is not reached by the winning bidder while open then the overall winning bidder at end of auction will receive credit on the open tier and use that towards the items of their choosing.

Happy Bidding Everyone!

Really surprised with the lack of interest. I’m gonna keep this going to 1st of the month on first tier. If the 2nd is not hit by then I’m just gonna pull this and list it all on Facebook groups for the quick cash instead. Appreciate the bids from you guys already, but if the traction just isn’t there that’s fine.

As someone who has run auctions on here for … I don’t want to think about how long … engagement on them has clearly dwindled over time.

That coupled with, and I am using myself as the example here… IIIIIIIIII’m cheap. Now, I can’t deny the value of what you’re including in the boxes is worthwhile, but those are big numbers you’re putting up, and I can’t see going for them. Again… this is me personally … I just can’t justify the big spends on games as much any more… it’s a lot easier for me to ignore many small spends that might equal that large number… so death by a thousand cuts.

If I could make a suggestion - please disregard if you care not for unsolicited advice … maybe break them up into smaller chunks… maybe a couple at a time. Using the N64 games as an example - maybe that’s 2 $150 lots instead of 1 $300 (or 3 $100 lots) … ::shrug:: I don’t know … just spitballing here

Honestly I just don't think it's that good of a deal. 300 + ship is pretty close to retail for that first tier, and if I don't want that specific assemblage of n64 items then why would I bid? Since there is no mystery to the box, it's really just an auction.

Its just too complicated, and the dynamic your terms establish between bidders and the person running the auction is out of whack. Everything seems very much stacked in your favor.

Plus it's outright stated at the start "buy it all right now for 500 over the price charting value" which makes zero sense and is an immediate turn off.

I'm still hung up on this. At this price point and this volume, you have to consider some kind of bulk rate discount. This just sounds like your asking price is equal to or more than the pricecharting going rate. Pricecharting is just an average of sold ebay listings. It doesn't take into account shipping ($4 per item if someone was going to break your lot up) and fees (what are we up to 8-10% now?).

Generally if someone is going to go in on a lot like this, there needs to be some kind of incentive to do so. Some really stand out items to showcase, or some profit gain. For me it would be break up and sell off individually what I don't want to recoup some of the total price of the lot, keeping things I do want.

The way I look at is at pc rate I’m giving the field discount as is on some great stuff. If it’s not your cup of tea that’s totally cool, but this isn’t some run of the mill lot as a whole either and each tier has great items in it. I’m also offering payment plan on this after 50% of final bid after a sold tier Because I get it I don’t expect an exorbitant payment.

Do I want to move a 3 grand lot for 300 absolutely not, but I think it’s within reason to accept a pc rate on a lot as is in a down market. And me personally I’m not pro pc numbers to begin with because they are exactly what they are quotes not inventory.

But when you’re so far from disparity as is honestly I’m disappointed with the lack of interest but it’s fine. Again I’ll leave this up till midnight on the first. If we hit the 300 great the next tier opens up and I’ll continue the bidding and guarantee sale at 350, but as is I just don’t see it happening and that’s a shame. Which is why I’m better just piecing this off on FB groups and just taking it individually through PayPal, but again out of respect I want some somebody to get to that second tier open up the bidding more and when/if it does any credit afterwards I’d then applied at pc value on items of their choosing.

If interest was higher I’d have more faith. Revealing the full list would help, but that’s part of the fun and mystery though. I will when it’s pulled if that’s the case. Feel free to make offers as they will be cross posted.

Would it have been a better idea to put the whole lot up as one no I don’t think so because again where the field is vs the price point disparity just isn’t there. I think you guys are gonna be disappointed when you miss out, but if we’re not even at 300 there’s not a chance one of you does a 50% down w a payment plan on that 2700.

I like to go big or go home. You win some you lose some. Could I have done these individually sure but I don’t think that would have been any better considering the loss I’m at already vs taking the loss 5 times over.

I think the big thing is some if not many of you are afraid of getting burned on something like this and that’s not my intention at all. I want somebody to have a variety of great stuff in different aspects and ranges, but I do get the point as well that someone doesn’t want certain items put in play already. I’m willing to listen to obo as well. I did want this to be fun, but I do you feel all of your frustrations as I’m sure you do mine.

In the event this does not sell at all I will be gifting those that bid subtime for the inconvenience.

Part of the issue might be the items you're leading with. Yes, they are some of the system's most popular games (except Triple Play) but that's the problem. Most people on here with an N64 would probably have at least 2 or 3 of the games on offer already. For example: Mario Kart is in 143 collections + 23 available, Goldeneye in 114 collections + 29 available, and Paper Mario in 81 collections + 7 available. For each game someone already owns, the duplicate game now becomes a not an exciting new adventure, but a task, as we now have to re-sell it to get back the money we didn't really need to spend in the first place.

I question whether most people would want Triple Play 2000, even if it is CIB. (Looking on here it's on exactly zero people's want list, and only 5 collecrions). The only people who would want this are those specifically trying for a full CIB set, ot someone who wants it for sentimental reasons (maybe it's a game their recently deceased dad played a lot).

For those like myself who don't care about CIB for N64 games (that ship sailed a long time ago), the empty Zelda boxes don't add much value.

The other big issues that are bothering me are (1) the expected amount vs price charting value, which you have addressed above, but I don't really agree with all your points - if you are trying to move a bulk lot, people will expect a reasonable bulk discount because it's far less work for you, and far more work for them in parting out and reselling the items they don't want. You seem to have gone the other direction. The higher the tiers go, the more you want compared to price charting. Tier 1 350 value selling for 300 (86%). Add Tier 2 and we have 1250 value selling for 1200 (96%). Tier 3 makes some headway with 1750 value for 1500 (back down to 86%). Tier 4 goes backwards again with 2150 value for 2000 (93%), and you continue that trend with Tier 5, at 2750 value for 2700 (98%). People just don't spend 2700 dollars on a bulk lot to save 2%.

And (2) the fact that you are selling "as is." If I'm expected to drop 300 to 3300 dollars on some games, I want full assurances that they have been thoroughly tested and working, and any issues like a dead save battery, or disc scratches fully disclosed.

I’m just gonna pull this now. Really don’t appreciate the personal attacks. Leave it for the discord or private messaging. This is the exact reason why I don’t sell on gametz to begin with. You guys can’t even hit 300 on a 3k plus lot and I’m in the wrong? While offering a 50% down payment plan option? Naw I’ll take my business elsewhere then. This really screams cheap out of some of you. Regardless of how you felt about it put up or shut up. If you want to argue every point as usual @benstylus I’m not here for that. Just don’t have the time patience or interest to care for your entitled opinion over here.
