I'm happy there is a topic about this, because creating a true Thanksgiving playlist is tough. I don't think it's fair to go from spooky Halloween music, straight into Holly, Jolly Christmas. In order to create a Thanksgiving playlist you have to be creative. You have to use the themes of the month as opposed to songs that actually sing about the Thanksgiving holiday.

How about the NFL broadcast themes on Fox or CBS? or "Are you ready for some football" and "Sunday Night"? At least for me and my family, football is a big part of November and the Thanksgiving holiday.

Songs about food, sometimes silly, like the viral video turned song, "It's Corn" that my kids love, or "Mashed Potato" by Dee Dee Sharp

On a more somber or emotional note, since this is the season of plants and trees changing/dying
Guns n Roses "November Rain"
Green Day "Wake Me Up When September Ends"
Modest Mouse "Autumn Beds"
Iron & Wine "Autumn Town Leaves"
Nat King Cole OR Sinatra "Autumn Leaves"

Maybe something more upbeat like:
"September" by Earth, Wind & Fire, it mentions in the song that now it's December, from September 21st, so the song is loosely/metaphorically about the time in between.
