* 23-Jan(#8)Super Mario is my earliest memory along with Mega Man 5. I have a vivid memory of having to look away and hide while my older brother tried to beat Gyro Man because he did better when he was not being watched lol. I do not know how old I was so probably anywhere between 4-5 years old

23-Jan(#11)The first video game I remember playing was Super Mario Bros on a Play Choice 10 arcade cabinet at a pizza place near my early childhood home around 4-5 years old. The first video game I owned Color Baseball on the Tandy CoCos. My dad had an IBM 8086 machine that had golf and chess on it. One Christmas, we got a NES with SMB, Duck Hunt, and World Class Track. Me and my little brother would go so hard on that power pad. That was followed by The Legend of Zelda on my birthday, which got me completely hooked on video games.

I think it's the same for me too -- either Space Invaders or Combat on the Atari 2600.

23-Jan(#15)Mine was Tetris. My dad loved playing it. We eventually burned the background image into the TV.

Same.
My dentist office had a 2600 with Pitfall in the waiting room. One day, there was a stack of other cartridges as well, so I was able to try some others, but Pitfall is the only one I remember.
Shortly afterwards, we went to visit some family in North Carolina, and I walked into their living room to see them playing what I now know was The Legend of Zelda. The rest is history.

24-Jan(#22)I remember! Me and my brother got an NES for Christmas and it came with Mario and duck hunt so Mario was my first game ever played!

After playing Pitfall at a friend's house, my brothers and I begged our parents to get us an Atari for Christmas. I guess my dad knew more about video games than us because he got an NES with Mario instead. So Mario was likely my second game. My brother got an Atari 2600 from another friend sometime later, with about 20 games, and I remember it just being so boring compared to NES.

24-Jan(#25)First game I remember playing at all was Super Breakout on the 2600. I have quite a few worn out player 1 paddles from that game. Also on that system is the first memory of playing with someone else- Jr. Pac Man. I was doing good for me at the time, with about 15,000 points, when a friend turned off the system because I was taking too long.

So, how long did it take for the authorities to find their body?

* 25-Jan(#27)Reader Rabbit on the PC might be the earliest "video game" I played.

7-Feb(#31)Shenmue or Sonic the Hedgehog on the Dreamcast. Time gets kinda blurred because I also slightly remember Mega Man Legends 2 on the ps1 but I'd imagine that would have been after the dreamcast days for me.
